THE BLACK DEATH
The Black Death was bubonic plague which spread from Asia and Turkey in the
12th century and by the 13th had spread throughout Europe. It is estimated
that a third of the world's population succumbed to the plague and the
labour shortage thereby caused brought an end to the Feudal System.
