System Requirements
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To use this program, you need ANY amiga with at least 1MB of available
memory.  I recommend that this program is used with a hard drive, but it
will quite happily run from a floppy disk.


Special Notice
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All files created with V1.22 and earlier of this program will not work with
with this or any future version of Financial Accounts.  This should not be a
problem however because the update was made before any registered versions
were sent to users.


Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you have already have an older version of Financial Accounts installed,
or the unregistered version, you don't have to remove it.  Simply select
the required path and this version will overwrite it.  Any files that you
have created will NOT be deleted, so if you have created a file, don't
worry, it won't disappear !

To install Financial Accounts to a hard drive, load the "InstallFA" program.
You'll be presented with a file selector (details on using the file selector
can be found in the "FinAccs.doc" file contained on this disk).

When you have located the appropriate path, hit return or click on "OK" and
the installation will begin.  Installation should only take a few minutes
and if all goes well, a message will appear saying that the installation was
successful.

However, there are several errors which may occur during installation:

1. Device Not Available - You have selected a path that doesn't exist.
   Suggest: Choose another path and be careful if typing it in.

2. Couldn't Get File From The Program Disk - The program disk has been
   altered in some way.
   Suggest: Get a replacement from your PD/Shareware library or from me.
   If you want the replacement from me, send me a disk+sae or £1 (UK only).

3. An Error Has Occurred During Installation - This could be anything from a
   read/write error on either the source or destination disk, or simply the
   destination hasn't enough space.
   Suggest: Check path is entered correctly, and the destination has around
   335K free at least.

4. Required Memory Is Not Available - There is not enough memory to create
   the required files.
   Suggest: Close any applications that may be running in the background, or
   better still, reboot your computer.

If any errors do occur, the installation will be aborted.  If you are not
having any success installing the program, write to me telling me EXACTLY
what you are doing/typing/running, etc. and I'll phone/write a reply to you.

Also on the disk are the relevant system drawers/files used for booting the
disk into workbench and for using the programs and document files on this
disk.  These should also not be altered/removed.

The "FinAccs.doc" file contains the relevant information for registering.
