DEFINITIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS

The purpose of the NetWire service is to provide a source
of public information about Novell and its products, as well
as to offer a medium in which CompuServe Members
interested or involved with Novell's product line may
communicate with each other for the purpose of trouble-
shooting, uploading/downloading files, and general
discussion regarding the networking industry.

SYSOPS
Sysops are volunteers who have contracted with Novell to
share their expertise and provide support to NetWire users.
Sysops are not Novell employees, but have extensive real-world
knowledge of networks and the computer industry in general.
Sysops are identified with the name "Sysop" following their name.
Sysops do not represent Novell.

One of the great strengths of NetWire is the fact that you may
receive non-biased suggestions to overcome your networking
problems - including suggestions of third-party solutions.
This liberty is extended to Sysops because of their volunteer status.

Novell sysops are Novell employees who monitor NetWire forums
full-time. They have all of the administrative rights of a Sysop, but as
Novell employees may not suggest, or show preference to third-party
products or solutions. Novell sysops are identified by the "Novell"
moniker following their name. Novell sysops work to ensure that all
questions receive a timely reply, and serve as an escalation team for
volunteer Sysops.

NETWIRE RULES AND POLICY

Members using the Novell's NetWire service on CompuServe agree to
abide by the following guidelines, policies and procedures, as well as
the standards and policies required by CompuServe--which may be
obtained by issuing the "GO RULES" command.:

Member agrees not to publish on or over the Service any information
which violates or infringes upon the rights of any other person or
any information which would be abusive, profane or offensive, sexually
or otherwise, to a "reasonable" person. The determination of any particular message
being in breach of the above mentioned restrictions may be made by any group
or individual using the Service, and will be executed by volunteer Sysops
or Novell employees assigned to monitor NetWire Forums in the following
manner:

Should any message be considered offensive in any way, the group or individual
with a complaint will send a private E-mail message to the author and/or a
Sysop (volunteer or otherwise) on NetWire. The offending message will then be deleted.
In all cases, the author will be notified that the message was deleted as per the
request of a Member, who may remain anonymous. Any person receiving such a
request will remove the message from the Service as soon as is reasonably possible.
Complaints will be directed to a "Novell Sysop" and final judgment on any issue
will be made by the NetWire Supervisor at Novell.

EDITING OF PUBLIC INFORMATION

Novell reserves the right in its sole discretion to edit any
public information appearing on the Service, regardless of whether it
violates the standards for information content.
