DESCRIPTION

If you're like most of us, you enjoy having a colorful or interesting
wallpaper as a backdrop for your Windows 3.0 workstation.  You can
either opt for a tiled bitmap or a full size one.

A "tiled" small bitmap takes up less memory than one that's full-
screen.  Some higher resolution full-size bitmaps can exceed 200K in
size - and this is not only 200K of hard drive space, but also 200K of
the available "working memory" that you have.  If you want to get the
most out of your available memory then tiled wallpaper is the way to
go.  Unfortunately, it's not easy to create small bitmaps that look
good when the pattern is repeated.  Enter Clipboard Tiler!


CUSTOM WALLPAPER MADE EASY!

Tiler helps you to create better wallpaper.  Tiler is a "clipboard
viewer".  It displays whatever bitmap happens to be in the Windows
Clipboard.  But it does it with a twist - what you see is what you'll
get when you set it up as your wallpaper from Control Panel!

With Tiler you can create your wallpaper in your favorite paint
program, copy the bitmap to the Clipboard, and instantly see what it
will look like when tiled.  This is quite useful for correcting align-
ment and balance in your designs:  You can check the edges of your
bitmap so they line up correctly when the pattern is repeated.  Or you
can verify that the design simply "looks good" as wallpaper - without
the tedium of saving your bitmap to a file, running Control Panel,
selecting Desktop, entering the new wallpaper filename, etc. etc.

The Clipboard Tiler package comes complete with TILER.EXE, and several
bitmap files we've created with the help of Tiler and which we think
you'll enjoy.
