Description:

WinPopup replacement for Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0



Features:

TrayPopup lets you send and receive pop-up messages using the same
interface as standard WinPopup but with all advantages of multithreading
system. Program works under Windows NT 4, 3.51 and Windows 95 and uses tray if
available. User can select target  address using built-in browser. Program is
also able to receive messages. To do it on NT user should have access rights
to pause or stop messenger service if one is running. This version of the
utility is free.


Multilingal features:

TrayPopup is fully DBCS-enabled. It also provides right OEM<->ANSI conversion.
Currently included resources are English, Swedish and Russian. Any help with
translation would be apprishiated.


Installation:

Windows NT 4 and Windows 95:
Click with right mouse button on file trayp.inf and select 'Install' option
from context menu. Program will be started on next logon.


Windows 3.51 requires manual installation:
copy files trayp.exe, trayp.hlp and trayp.cnt to your %SystemRoot% directory.
Add trayp.exe to your startup group.



Conflicts with existing messenger service:

If messenger is running TrayPopup attempts to pause it and restart on exit.
You can disable warning about running messenger in TrayPopup options. If you
do not have programs that depends on NT' messenger service the best way is to
set it's startup mode to 'Manual' or 'Disabled' using Control Panel/Services.
