All You Need Is Love!

Yellow Submarine Theme for the Windows95 Plus! pack
Created by J.B. Roth

web page:

Feel free to distribute this Theme to all your Beatle-loving friends, but please:

1: Don't change any of the files (unless you create something really cool, in which case I'd really appreciate it if you sent it to me...;-)

2: Please, really please, don't sell this Theme or charge any fee to download it. I feel that it defeats the whole purpose of my creating it for free, and denegrates the message that the Beatles were trying to convey.

If you have any suggestions, improvements, or ideas that you would like to see but don't have the time or software to make, feel free to e-mail me, and I'll see what I can do.

Installation

  To install:

If your using Winzip, this file should unzip into a folder called "unzipped". If you want to skip a step or two, go to your Themes directory and create a new folder called Yellow Submarine and unzip this file into it. Open the file, find the Yellow Submarine.Theme file, drop it into the Themes folder, and select it in the Themes control panel. That should do it!

*Note: You need Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95 and Winzip in order to properly install this Theme. You must use Winzip to preserve the long filenames when you unzip the archive.
If you don't have Plus I recommend that you give a shareware program called Desktop Themes a try. For your convenience, you can download it at:
ftp://ftp.novia.net/customers/macc/desktopt.zip
The file is about 100kb, so it shouldn't take too long.

Explanations:

All icons and cursors were made using Microangelo, a mosy excellent piece of software. They are:
Icons:

The Chief Blue Meanie
His sidekick, Max (as per a request)
A regular Blue Meanie
Jeremy Hillary Boob, Phd.
The Vacumn Monster as the recycle bin (HA!)

I have included some 16-bit versions of some of the guys, I have also included some spares, for shortcut images (also per request.)
Cursors:

The Dreadful Flying Glove is the pointer
The Yellow Submarine (bobbing and bubbling)
The other cursors were found here and there on the 'Net.

Wallpaper:
This is the image at the very end of the movie, after everybody sings "It's All Too Much", just before the live Beatles come out and do their bit.

Sounds:
I must say that without the help of the sound master, Fabulous Phil Radelat, these sounds would be half of what they are:
Asterisk: Jeremy Hillary Boob Phd. distributes his card.
Critical Stop: Ringo pushes the wrong button and gets ejected into the Sea of Monsters.
Default Sound: George gives his opinion of Young Fred and Ringo's problem.
Exclamation: Go get those Blue Meanies with Love!
Exit Windows1: The Chief Blue Meanie ponders his fate...
Restore Up and Minimize: This is the music that plays in the background while Ringo is being followed home by the Yellow Submarine. ("It must be one of those unidentified flying cupcakes...")
Restore Down: John suggests a size change.
Maximize: The Chief Blue Meanie describes Pepperland's fate...
Program Error: Young Fred describes Pepperland's Problem to Ringo.
Question: Ringo and Young Fred in the awesome Beatlehouse. ("lever puller"-Liverpooler? Get it? HA!)
Recycle: Ringo finds something to get Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band out of the Blue Glass
ball (from Kentucky, get it?).
Start Windows: The opening monologue.

May the Internet stay forever free!
					JB.
