PACT Shutdown 98 will recognize when this program has finished, then initiates the shutdown or power-off. A shutdown confirmation is optional, i.e. you can turn it of. You can force programs to close. Usually every program can break the shutdown process by asking if the user wants to save unsaved data. By selecting "Force Applications to Close" this question is overridden.
