MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------
Devachan Components requires:
  Delphi 3
  100 K of disk space

-------------------------------------------------
INSTALLING DEVACHAN COMPONENTS
-------------------------------------------------

Devachan Components is distributed as
a Delphi Package Collection file (Devachan.dpc).

To install the components, start Delphi 3, and select
File|Close All to close all open files.

Select Component|Install Packages... to display the Packages
page in the Project Options dialog.

Press the Add button to display the Add Design Package
dialog box. Change the file type to Package Collection (*.dpc).
Navigate to the location of the Devachan.dpc file. (NOTE: The
file may be located on a diskette, if you do not have web
access.) Select the Devachan.dpc file and press the OK button.

This starts the Install Package Collection Expert. Select Custom
Installation if you do not wish to install the help files.
Press the Finish button to install the components.

By default, Devachan Components is installed into the
C:\Devachan directory.

The Install Package Collection Expert also installs the
Devachan components onto the component palette. A new Devachan
page is created which will contain the 2 components in
Devachan Components.

--------------------------------
UPDATING THE LIBRARY SEARCH PATH
--------------------------------
After Devachan components are installed, it
is necessary to update the library search path in Delphi.
Unfortunately, this is not done automatically by the
Install Package Collection Expert.

Select Tools|Environment Options to display the Environment
Options dialog box. Change to the Library page. At the end
of the Library Path add the following directories:

C:\Devachan\Lib;C:\Devachan

Press the OK button to close the Environment Options dialog.

--------------------------------------------
REGISTERING THE DEVACHAN HELP FILES
--------------------------------------------
The Devachan.dpc package collection file also contains the
online help file for the entire Devachan Components package.
Although, the help file is installed by the Install Package Collection
Expert, it is not registered with Delphi. The help file
must be registered before you can display online help within
the Delphi environment.

To register the Devachan.hlp file with Delphi, simply run
the RegHelp.exe program located in the C:\Devachan\Help
directory. Press the OK button to register the Devachan.cnt
and Devachan.hlp files.

-----------------------------------
UN-INSTALLING DEVACHAN COMPONENTS
-----------------------------------
To remove Devachan Components from your computer, follow the
directions below.

In Delphi 3, select File|Close All to close all open files.

Select Component|Install Packages... to display the Packages
page in the Project Options dialog.

Select the "Devachan Components v1.0" package from
the Design Packages list and press the Remove button. A message
box will be displayed to confirm your request--press OK. Next,
you will be asked if the Deva10 runtime package should be
removed from the Runtime Packages list. Press OK to remove
the package. Close the Project Options dialog box by pressing
the OK button.

At this point, Delphi 3 is no longer using Devachan Components.
To remove the Devachan Components files from your hard disk, delete
the C:\Devachan directory structure. In addition, you'll
need to delete the Deva100.dpl file located in the
\Windows\System directory.
