CTemp 3.0 is a 16-bit windows application that shows CPU/MB temperatures and
voltages on screen, if Your motherboard has the LM75/LM78 chips.
CTemp will run under Win3.x, Win95 and WinOS2.

CTemp is very usable when overclocking or changing peripheral conditions for
the computer. Check and take note of the CPU/MB temp(s) under normal
conditions (CPU clock, room temperature), with maximum CPU load and compare
it with the results after changing conditions.

Install/handling:
-----------------
Unzip CTemp30.zip anywhere on Your HDD. A shortcut in the startup folder
might be a good idea. Do not place the program itself in the startup folder,
CTemp creates a .ini- file first time You run the program.

First time You start CTemp, You will have to select CPU temp correction.
Press the "Options" button to view the settings panel. Check the appropriate
 radion button (AMD/Intel/Cyrix).

If You want to view/change CPU correction settings, press the "" button in
the CPU group. The changes are NOT saved until You press the "S" button.

To change the refresh rate (how often the program should read the LM75 chip)
or set alarm temperature(s), press the "" button in the Options group.
Never let the CPU temp pass beyond the specified max temperature for Your
CPU. (Check with CPU manufacturer for exact value for Your CPU)
A good idea is to set the CPU alarm at least 5C below max allowed
temperature. Since the LM75 chip is not in contact with the CPU, CTemp can
not report an exact value, only give a close hint. Changes of the alarm
setting(s) will NOT be saved until You press the "S" button. (Refresh rate
is always immediately saved when changing)
Refresh rate is adjustable between 1 to 99 seconds. Keep it over 3 seconds
to save CPU time for other applications.

When installed and calibrated right, CTemp gives a more exact value than the
BIOS, due to the automatic CPU temp correction in the BIOS, that doesn't
always work too well. And best of all... You don't have to reboot every time
You want to know the computer's temperatures or voltages.

VCore port:
-----------
Due to differences between motherboard manufacurers, the "place" where CTemp
gets its value for VCore voltge may be different. If You get a value
different from the one in BIOS, change VCore port(0 or 1) in "Voltage"
 group in options mode.

Uninstall:
----------
Remove "CTemp20.exe", "CTemp.ini" and "Readme.txt"(this file) from HDD.
