Program Description
===================
Numerit is an intuitive environment for developing numerical
computation programs and producing publication-quality documents.
The environment includes a program editor for writing, debugging,
and running programs, and a scientific word processor for editing
the program's output and producing publication-quality technical
documents.
The word processor allows insertion and formatting of text, graphs,
tables, pictures, and equations. Graphs and tables are directly linked
to variables in the program. Equations are created by the built-in
equation editor. Numerit programs are written in its easy-to-learn and
powerful high level programming language that supports multidimensional
arrays, complex numbers, and user-defined functions. It has many built-
in functions for data analysis including: line and polynomial fitting,
linear and cubic-splines interpolation, multidimensional fast Fourier
transform, numerical integration and differentiation, root finding,
solution of linear algebraic equations, matrix/vector arithmetic, and
special functions.

Installation
============
After opening the zip file you get, among other files, a standard
Windows 95 setup.exe program. Run this program to start the
installation. Follow the instructions on the screen and click Next
until the installation is complete. After installation, the item
Numerit appears in the Start:Programs menu.
To start Numerit: click Start, select Programs, and click on the
Numerit icon. You may uninstall Numerit using Add/Remove Programs in
the Control Panel.

Registration
============
The Evaluation Edition of Numerit has almost all the capabilities of
the commercial editions but with some limitations on the size of the
program, the output document, and arrays. By registering the Evaluation
Edition you upgrade it to one of the commercial editions - the Standard
Edition or the Student Edition.
Visit our web site at http://www.numerit.com, fill out the order form,
and submit it. After processing your order we will send you a
Registration Code that matches your Registration Number. Click the
Registration-Code button in the opening dialog and enter the
Registration Code. Please keep both your Registration Number and the
Registration Code - you will need them to restore the registration
information if it is damaged.

Distribution Status
===================
The Evaluation Edition of Numerit may be freely distributed, but note
that it is still protected by copyright laws. You may only redistribute
the whole package including all the components as originally received
and without removing any copyright or proprietary notices from it. You
are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for
any copies of the Evaluation Edition.
The commercial editions (Standard and Student Editions) may not be
distributed under any circumstances without a specific written
permission of KEDMI Scientific Computing. Please read the Software
License Agreement for details and terms.
Note that after you register the Evaluation Edition and upgrade it to
the Standard Edition or to the Student Edition it should be treated as
a commercial edition and may not be distributed.

Documentation
=============
Numerit comes with an extensive online help and a User's manual in a
Microsoft Word document. The User's manual is found in the folder
'Documents' which is located inside the Numerit folder
(C:\Program Files\Numerit, or as otherwise specified during the
installation).
Notes:
1. If you do not have Microsoft Word you may download the Microsoft
Word Viewer from the following site:
http://officeupdate.microsoft.com
2. If you print the User's Manual note that it is designed for two-
