Installation: | 1. Unzip the Telnetd zip file to
your installation directory. 2. Run telnetdps.exe to create password file. 3. Run telnetd.exe to start GoodTech Telnet server |
Troubleshooting: | 1. If port #23 is used (the
default port for telnet server) you can use other port By giving a number other than 23 in the command line when starting the Telnet Server. 2. In Order to use the monitoring feature you should logged in as 'telnetd' (lower case) user. |
telnetd commands(lower case): | - telnetd status :
Shows all user connections - telnetd disable : Disables new connections to host machine - telnetd enable : Enables connections to host machines - telnetd shutdown : Shuts down TELNET SERVER Note: All Telnetd commands can run on the host machine, or remotely using 'telnetd' user. |
