Windows help file TREEDIFF.HLP for details.

1. Overview
-----------

TreeDiff is a Visual directory and/or archive comparison
tool for Windows. You can compare any directories, whether they are
located on disk, in archives (ZIP or JAR), or "Snapshots".

The differences between files are shown in a dual scrolling window,
with colors highlighting different types of differences (inserted files,
deleted files, CRC differences between files, date differences, time
differences).

You can FILTER out the results, in order to see only the differences
that are important for you.

You can SAVE the difference report, for later use.

You can PRINT the difference report, using font styles.

You can take a Snapshot of a full directory, to compare to later, so
you don't need the actual files anymore on disk. (Snapshots were called
LISTS in previous versions of TreeDiff)

You can SYNCHRONIZE directories - All the possible options are
available here, you can customize everything. Templates are available for
ease of use.

You can include and exclude files from comparison, using regular DOS
wildcards.

Over 263 millions files can be handled, using a few memory.
(very useful for huge CD-ROMS or network drives !!)

Common file operations can be performed on selected files.

   Full context sensitive help included.

Many options to customize the behaviour of the program.

Command line available - almost all options can be set by command line.
So you can run TreeDiff in automated batch processing.

2. Installation
---------------

To install TreeDiff, just decompress the TreeDiff archive onto your
hard disk, for instance in your TOOLS directory. Then, in Windows,
create an icon (Windows 3.x, NT 3.x) or a shortcut (Windows 95, 98,
NT) pointing to TREEDIFF.EXE. That's all !

Please note that there are two versions of TreeDiff: a 16-bit version
for Windows 3.x, and a 32-bit version, supporting long filenames (and
short filenames, too), for Windows 95/98 and NT. The user interface is the
same for both products, except a very few version specific options.

3. Author / registration
------------------------

   TreeDiff is a SHAREWARE program.

You can use it during a test period of 21 days, to check that the program
meets your need. If you continue to use it after this period, you must
register. Registration is valid for both 16 and 32-bit versions, and future
revisions of the same version (in this case, all future v1.x versions)

There are several different flavors of TreeDiff, that you can choose,
depending on what you need :

   a. TreeDiff, standard version for single computer.

The price for this version is $40.
With this version, you can compare an unlimited number of
files, but Filters, File operations and Saved batch files are
available only if you didn't reach a given amount of files.
This allows you to evaluate the features of the PRO version.

   b. TreeDiff, PRO version for single computer.

The price for this version is $60.
With this version, you have all the features of the Standard
version, plus unlimited Filters, File operations and Saved
      batch files features enabled.

   c. Multi-computer registrations, and site licenses.
There are special degressive prices for multi-computer
registrations, and site licence for company wide use.

      'Registration'.

You can pay using one of the following :
