INSTALLATION NOTES:

Install SplitMail by extracting the zip file. This installation assumes you already have the
Java Runtime Environment installed. If you do not have the JRE then you should get the full
installation file. This installation also assumes you have the swing.jar file which is included
in the Swing package from Sun. SplitMail expects swing.jar to be in the current directory or the
the class path so you may have to move swing.jar or modify the -cp statement in the SplitMail
shortcut to include the path to swing.jar. ie make the target property somthing like this:
  jrew -nojit -cp SplitMail.jar;c:\swingdir\swing.jar esplit

Once you have installed SplitMail you can run it by clicking on the "SplitMail" icon in the
SplitMail program folder. If you want to move that shortcut or copy the shortcut to another
location you must edit its properties. Under properties select shortcut and under Start in type in
the path to the SplitMail directory. Now this shortcut will work anywhere. This is a temporary
annoyance which I am in process of fixing. The next version should have a complete and proper
installation process.

After SplitMail is installed the program assumes that the Java Run Time Environment is installed
already and that the Java Run Time Environment is in your path.
