Once the program of your choice is highlighted press the RIGHT mouse button to select the program. ******************************* ENDING A PROGRAM ***************************** Since there is such a variation of programs running on VGA Spectrum II there is not any one command that will end or stop a program being run. Most programs will terminate by one of the following steps: * Look for on screen signs to quit or exit * Press -Q * Press -X * Press -E * Press -Q * Press -X * Press -E * Press Esc * Press the space bar * Press C * Press Enter *********************************** GAMES ************************************ Most games on VGA Spectrum II default to run off the CD-ROM disc. Some games are required to write a configuration or data file to disk when the game is activated. It is almost impossible to run all games directly from the CD-ROM disc. The games that require data to be written to disk will be automatically transfered to your hard drive( drive C: ). Once the game is played and it comes time to exit or quit the game it will ask the user if they want to delete the game from the hard drive. If you answer "Y" that will automatically delete the game from the hard drive and will no longer take up space on the hard drive. If you answer "N" it will leave the program on the hard drive. *************************** POSSIBLE SOUND PROBLEMS ************************** Most of the programs on VGA Spectrum II support the Sound Blaster card. Occasionaly some programs leave part of the program behind in memory, that means it is possible that your computer may hang up after running various programs. If this problem occurs just reboot your computer and try again. It is possible that some programs my not run on your computer for various reasons like using QEMM, low memory, your computer may not fast enough for the program, no sound card installed (Sound Blaster compatible), not being compatible with the video graphics mode the program uses, and other possible internal conflicts. ***************************** SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS ***************************** IBM 80386-based personal computer or compatible, minimum of 640K memory, Hard Drive with at least 4MB of free disk space, Sound Blaster or 100% compatible sound card, VGA graphics with at least 320x200x256 resolution or 100% compatible graphics adaptor. A mouse is highly recommended.
