Unprotect for Zak McKracken


 BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR PROGRAM DISK BEFORE STARTING AND USE THE
 BACK UP FOR THE UNPROTECT.
 Modify only the backup copy!!!

 First you should rename the file or files
 ZAK.EXE TO ZAK.XXX


 Ex. C>rename zak.exe zak.xxx

 Next Load program into debug...

 Ex. C>debug zak.xxx

 Then Follow the sample debug session:

     -e 838a e8 13 cd 90 90
     -e 50a0 c6 06 ef 1f ff
             c6 06 b2 ee 00 c6 06 b4 ee 00
             c6 06 b6 ee 00 c6 06 b8 ee 00
             c3 90 90 90 90 90 90

 Now write the new zak game back to the disk:

     -w  <Enter>

     Writing XXXX bytes

 Then Quit Debug:

     -q  <Enter>

 Now it is time to rename zak.xxx back to zak.exe

     C>ren zak.xxx zak.exe

 Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version of Zak McKracken

     C>zak

 When you are asked for your exit visa enter the first block 4 times.
