Unprotect for URIDIUM (IBM PC)


 BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR URIDIUM DISK BEFORE STARTING AND USE THE
 BACK UP FOR THE UNPROTECT.
 Modify only the backup copy!!!

 First you should rename the file or files
 URIDIUM.EXE TO URIDIUM


 Ex. C>rename uridium.exe uridium

 Next Load program into debug...

 Ex. C>debug uridium

 Then Follow the sample debug session:

     -s 0000 ffff b4 1c cd 21     :   Search for first protection pattern

     XXXX:YYYY                    :   The search will return one address.
                                      If more or less than one are returned
                                      this unprotect may not work.

 The value returned should be:
     XXXX:7FF1                    :   If this is not the address returned 
                                  :   then change the addresses in the patch
                                  :   file.

     -s 0000 ffff e8 b2 02        :   Search for second protection pattern

     XXXX:YYYY                    :   The search will return one address.
                                      If more or less than one are returned
                                      this unprotect may not work.

 The value returned should be:
     XXXX:81BF                    :   If this is not the address returned 
                                  :   then change the addresses in the patch
                                  :   file.
 Now exit debug to apply patch:

     -q  <Enter>

 Now apply the patch:

     C>debug uridium <uridium.pat

 Now it is time to rename uridium back to uridium.exe

     C>ren uridium uridium.exe

 The file DEMAB.COM must be copied into the same directory as URIDIUM.EXE

 Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version of URIDIUM

     C>uridium
