Authors everywhere ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Nope... Ya can walk around & look @ things Cooperative : Nope... Deathmatch 2-4 : Most definately Deathmatch 5+ : No more than 6 probably, but go ahead Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : None *Play notes: This level has quite a few 'secrets' on it that greatly enhance play. If you don't find them, then you're going to miss quite a treat in DM play. Best thing is to walk thru the level and look for the following: When you start the level, walk forward and take the first door on the right. Go down that hall and go thru the next door on your right. Go about halfway down that dead-end hallway and shoot the wall on the right. A secret door will open that will take you to the upper level of the room you started out in. Lotsa goodies in there. This is usually the room that, in team play, one team or the other tries to 'hold'. OK, jump thru one of the holes in the floor onto a platform (we use these to bomb the poor slobs below with grenades) and then jump down to the main floor of the room you started out in. Go up the stairs. As you enter the first landing, you'll find a SNailGun in the shadows. Keep going until you reach the next room. Go to the end of the room that is in the shadows. Point yer weapon @ the floor and fire. The floor will slide out from under you and you'll fall to the lowest level. Go outside to the right and you'll see a lift around the corner. Get on it, turn around and jump off so that you land on the wall that surrounds the yard. Walk to the end of that section of the wall, turn right and shoot the sky (in front of you). A door will open. More goodies. The teleporter will take you to the first secret room I told you about. Starting once again from the room you began the level in, go forward and take the door on the left and go down that hall and thru the door around the corner. Now you'll be looking @ a pool of water. Jump in and swim for the doorway across the pool. A lift will raise you up and you can go on yer way. Go thru the next door and down the stairs. As you enter the room, you'll see a box of rockets against the far wall - there's a secret door (shoot it) behind the rockets with a teleporter behind it that will take you to the yard where you found the last secret room (the one in the sky). There is also a shadowed corner to yer right as you enter the room (the downstairs room - we haven't left it yet, OK?). Shoot into the corner and a secret door will open. You can't see it open, but you should be able to hear it. Walk thru the opening and you'll find the Mother Lode! Mega health, armour, gunzz- gunzz - gunzz, & ammo. This is the one you don't want to tell yer fraggin buddies about. They're holding the upper room (the first secret room), remember? Grab yer stuff and step into the teleporter. You'll appear in the end of the upper room - with all the stuff - AND - the Pentagram of Protection! Kill 'em all! Just step right into their shocked faces and pull the trigger on that rocket launcher - neither they or it can hurt you for 30 seconds. There's 16 or so DM player starts on this level so you shouldn't have any respawning in the same place over and over if you're playing with less than 10 players. There is also a "trigger_changelevel" statement in the MAP file that has been commented out. If you want to use it, just un-comment the code and insert the name of the map or level that you want to go to. You'll find this statement just before the 'light' entities list - pretty easy to find, since it is the only commented code in the file :). * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : QScript and UltraEdit32. Known Bugs :None that I know of. Build Time : My first level - 'bout 2 weeks with the detailing & all. * Legal Stuff * You may distribute and modify this level, in fact you can do whatever you wish with it. But if you do... please give me credit. Just do it - and gibb one for me while yer at it, OK?
