VIDEO CONNECT PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Video Connect Service provides an end-to-end solution for broadband/business video services, and includes the total delivery of network and CPE. This service includes analog, digital, multiple speed, switched, non-switched, compressed, non-compressed, broadcast and interactive full motion video offerings. In addition to the services described above, GTE, through teaming relationships with GTE VisNet, will provide ongoing equipment maintenance, on-line customer support, and high-margin video programming services. BROADCAST QUALITY Video Connect Broadcast Quality Service provides transmission capability which supports a picture quality that meets or exceeds performance requirements for 525 line/60 field monochrome, or National Television System Committee (NTSC) color video signals. In addition, this service transmits from one to four associated audio signals along with the video signal. Video Connect Broadcast Quality Service employs two types of network facilities to complete the customer circuit. COMMERCIAL QUALITY Video Connect Commercial Quality Service provides transmission facilities which support a picture quality that is near the performance requirements of NTSC broadcast quality video, but is not as high in quality as Broadcast Quality video. Video Connect Commercial Quality Service employs two types of network facilities to complete the customer circuit. BUSINESS QUALITY Video Connect Business Quality Service utilizes compressed video transmission techniques and equipment capable of transmitting good picture quality. The video equipment being deployed with this service meets or exceeds both the NTSC and PAL requirements.
