PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

This option provides for a connection capable of up to 64 Kbps digital
transmission with clear channel capability.  Clear channel capability allows
for full bandwidth availability to the customer, with no part of the channel
used for control, framing, or signalling.

APPLICATIONS:

-    Customers with a need to make bulk data transfers to and from locations
     which do not have enough data volume on a daily basis to justify a high
     speed dedicated circuit would be the most likely market for the High
     Speed offering.

-    Customers looking for higher performance and improved reliability over
     analog modems would be a potential market for Low Speed Switched
     Data Service.

-    Customers wishing to dial up backup for their dedicated lines would also
     be attracted to the service.

-    Excellent medium for video conferencing, private line back-up or
     overflow, media conferencing, Digital Group IV Fax, and other
     Host-to-Host/PC-to-Host applications.

-    High Speed Applications (64 Kbps)
     -     Replacement, backup, and overflow for private lines.
     -     Desktop Videoconferencing (using inverse mux to 392 Kbps
           for console).
     -     Group IV (high-speed facsimile).
     -     LAN-to-LAN bridging/routing with inverse mux.
     -     Bulk data transfers.
     -     Network optimization.
     -     Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
