FAXTHRU

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

FAXTHRU is a service associated with a specific fax line.  When a customer
orders GTE's FAXTHRU service, their fax line will be set up to call forward
to a DID number in the case of a busy signal or no answer situation.

FAXTHRU produces the appearance that the fax machine is never busy or out of
paper by forwarding incoming messages which have reached an unavailable
machine to a special overflow "mailbox" on the fax server.  Transmission is
reattempted every four minutes for the first hour and once an hour for
48 hours thereafter.  The intent is not additional storage space, rather a
means to offset incoming fax traffic jams during peak hours to ensure
reception.  Simply stated, FAXTHRU provides temporary holding and
re-transmission of faxes which could not reach their destination, and does
so without user intervention.

-     Businesses that consolidate daily sales totals from retail or wholesale
      outlets.
