DIAL DATALINK

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Residential and business links are designed to support voice grade
transmission parameters.  GTE's Dial DataLink service provides special
conditioning to a customer's local loop, ensuring that it will transmit
data up to 4800 bps.

Dial DataLink is a service that will benefit customers who are experiencing
data transmission problems on their local loop.  It is also intended for
those customers who can currently transmit data up to 4800 bps, but who want
to ensure that the phone company will not make standard network provisioning
changes that will have a negative impact on their ability to transmit data up
to 4800 bps.

The quality of the line is guaranteed only between the customer's point of
demarcation and the serving central office switch.  No guarantee is made for
a transmission level over the entire circuit.
