The giant panda is an endangered animal because humans are distorting their habitat and their main source of food. They live in the mountains of western Tibet. Did you know that the panda is part of the raccoon family? The panda is the only member of the raccoon family that lives outside of the Americas. The panda’s main source of food is bamboo. Humans are chopping all of the bamboo and the pandas food will be gone. Bamboo grows only about every two to four years and only when (from what I understand) when it is very moist. Another reason the panda is because they are being caught. You would think that being caught and putting them in a zoo would be goo for them but when in captivity the babies are born most of them don’t survive. The reason I choose this animal is because the panda has always been a favorite of mine science I was little. Thankyou so much for a great year Mrs. Williams you are one of my favorite teachers. I love you class its so much fun especially dissecting the frogs. Thanks again for a great year!
