o.k...here are the missing files from the 60 disk version out there.
I think what happened is that disk 60 (mech2.a59) was messed up
somehow becuase mech2.a58 started the dos4gw.exe file and did not
finish it on the mech2.a59. Anyways...just wipe the snd dir and
unzip this zip file directly to where you unarjed everything. Oh
yeah...the vfx dir was also missing. And proabbyl the most important
file that was missing is the old_herc.drv. It was a hidden file on the
CD ROM which is probably why it was not arjed with everything else. I
have a feeling that this was their copy protection. Then again, I just
loaded it up long enoug to see that it ran and not if they had any kind
of formal copy protection. Just +h the old_herc.drv file in teh root
dir and you will be set.

in case you are in a situation where you don't know how to install the
thing in the first place here is how I did it:

unzipped all the disks into a dir...let's call that dir c:\a
unzipped this file into c:\a
I have no d: (if you do, choose the any dir that is not being used
right now such as z: (set LASTDRIVE=Z if you have a problem)
anyways...run: cdemu2.com d: (or whatever drive you chose)
then run: subst d: c:\a

that should work without a network error like if you used some other
cd rom emulator that I tried to use at first.

then go to d: and type install

it should hopefully install the game. To play it, you will need to
run the cdemu2.com d: each time with teh subst c:\a d: as well
since it needs the CD ROM drive installed and everything.

If you have any problems, well...sorry...try asking someone. I just
thought I should write up this file for those that may be having
problems installing it (like I did) since you basically couldn't
install it without the missing cdemu2.com and you couldn't run it
witout the missing files. Welp...hope it helps.

PS: you may have to remove the README and cdemu2.com file from the cdrom
dir...I dunno...never put them there.
