It is the evolution of Western culture, a entrance into the Pandemonaeon. In the 20s & 30s the emphasis (the vision of utopia) of our culture was on Industrialization - the production of Mass quantity. During the 50s & 60s it was Convenience. Then in the 70s & 80s it was Information. Now in the 90s and foreseeably into the early 2000s, it is Cyber. Virtual Reality, Holographics, Faster computers,Brain machines,Smart drugs,Beeper (enchantment...),Fiber opticks,etc... The marriage is made - CYBER MAGICK is the evolution of how magick is performed. It will be more devastating of a revolution than the Industrial, I've never seen people so obsessed with re-creating the world.! Enchantment - " Includes all those practices in which the magician attempts to impose will on reality " (Peter Carroll from- LIBER KAOS) The most common method (because of its simplicity & effectiveness) of enchantment is the art of sigilizing. Which consists basically in Formulating Desire into a sentence, which is Morphed into some other form (the seed), and then Planting the seed into the subconcious (where Will finds fullfillment) That is all the procedure necessary for enchantment, what happens afterward (how the magick actually works) depends on your model of reality. And to quote Robert Anton Wilson, "Reality is what you CAN get away with." The only thing of great impotence is the Belief in Magick, It is the requirement for success. Skill and Knowledge will increase the effectiveness and power of your enchantments and divinations though. Even those who have no theories as to how magick works still can achieve remarkable success. Beeper magick as far as I am aware is the first method of Cyber Enchantment to be proposed, and theoretically possible. It creates a Link via the Ether (Def. "Ether acts as though it were a form of information emitted by matter that is instantly available everywhere and has the Power to shape behavior of other matter" from Liber Kaos) & also via cyberspace (Def. "the 'place' where a telephone conversation appears to occur." Hacker Crackdown) I believe there is a incredible similarity between these systems. Depending on your A) style & B) level of skill,knowledge,& strength of belief, you may need a strong physical link. I will propose two methods of creating a link, one is to use a strong physical link (piece of clothing, photograph, strands of hair) & the other is very simple, but the link is complex. If you can achieve success that you are content with,use the simple method (its by far simpler, & more efficient). There aren't any of the complications with creating a physical. All that is necessary is their pager #, and their Name (preferably their magickal name) If you do choose the phy. I recommend using a photograph -its the simplest of the physical links (it should be taken for the sole purpose of the enchantment). The idea is to tape the Targets photo on your beeper. Associate the beeper as an embodyment of the intended target (or... victim .) Carroll writes "Only between those phenomena or mental events having considerable similarity can a magickal link operate." Your beeper has to become the Link, with one technique being the phys. creation. The alternative (and preferable -for many reasons all ready mentioned) method, you simply meditate on the seed displayed on your beeper which has a correlation with the targets beeper. Two beepers are similar phenomena, therefore a link is possible. Though it might be advisable to write the targets name on the beeper (use white masking tape to scribe on) This further creates a mental (and phys. -written...) link to the person (which should really be enough to satisfy a chaos magician with a degree of skill... less show and elaborate glamour is necessary for success) With this information I shall summarize the elements of the Link: A) writing victims name on the beeper B) meditating on the seed, C) The target reading your seed ( thoughts do generate etheric paterns according to Chaos Magick Theory) I believe I have thoroughly shown that beeper magick has serious potential as a medium of enchantment (especially where a link with a person is desired). Its also a rather fun & cool way to,Launch your seed. There are of course other applications, even when your desire has no human variable (other than yourself). Even for something like - "IT IS MY WILL TO MEET A SUCCUBUS IN MY DREAM" can also be sent out. Using the Butter Fly effect these target(s) you send your sigil to assist you in your enchantment (just by reading it). Another application is Aeon Magick (vide Liber Null by Pete Carroll), & Word Virus magick (vide Prime Chaos ,by Phil Hine). The potential is there,so - DO WHAT THOU WILT! Beeper Enchantment Tech Level: 3 Application: For enchantment where a Link Between you & Target (victim) is desired, also applicable to Virus & Aeon magick. Added benefit of creating a Link via BOTH The Ether & Cyberspace. 1. Formulate Sentence Of Desire 2. Eliminate double letters (echos) 3. Then Morph it into numerals by using a telephone dialing pad as a numeral alphabet corespondence, a cyber 777.(example if S.O.D. was POWER, & you eliminated the echos (double letters) you would end up with -POWER! which would translate into numbers as 76937) 4. Next using Byron Gisen cut-up technique, cut up the #s crumbling them individually. Throw them into your wizards Dunce cap, Circle of The Holy magick Paper wads, or maybe just on the ground. After they ve been thoughroughly confused, randomly pick up, and write the numbers in the consecutive order you recived them. This is your finalised seed. 5. Then if a physical link is necessay, formulate it. Writing the seed on the Photo of the person for instance, and maybe even taping this to your beeper. or... 5)a. Put tape (masking works well) on yer beeper, write the targets Name on the tape. Then page yourself with the seed. *a cool idea if your using a phone that you can store #s in is, program the targets phone number in the phone before you begin processing. So when you Page them you just prees a single button. 6. Send the Seed to your Host (target,victim,etc...) 7. Meditate no yer seed displayed on the physical Link. 7)a. Then meditate & absorb your seed on your beeper, do for atleast a few minutes. Because there is usually a certain amount of lag time before the seed is recived by the target. 8. You then send your seed to its final destination, back from whence it came into the Abyss... CHAOS, by turning off your pager. Before doing so you might say something like IO: CHAOS, AzagThoth, Pan, Hecate,or Odin, to thank your Sub-conciousness (our magickal Self) for its assistance and cooperation. 9. The ritual has ended, do a Banishing Ritual, laugh your chaotick laughter, smoke a ciggarette.. a joint.. or maybee some CRACK, have sex with a Human or inanimate object - Chaos I love my Cybersex CD! The Day is yours, now go Sieze it! Ive generally assumed while giving the above outline of the procedure, that I neednt explain the actual Formula of performing magick. Magickians spend entire books doing just that, and have covered it rather well. Jan Fries wrote a incredible book in this regard called Visual Magick, Id recomend you look there for a deeper understanding. Ill at least give the Three factors Mr. Fries mentions in perfoming magick (at least in regards to sigil -like- magick). 1. Exhaustion: Do jumping jacks, run in place, take a long walk,etc... 2. Transmission: Do ritual techniques, banishing, invoke, etc... Whatever it takes to reach a state of vacuity, where one can tap the Subconcious, this is Gnosis ( otherwise known as the hypnotic state) *note- processing is done before you begin step 1. Once you reach gnosis, meditate on your seed do not conciously think of it (actually its better if you dont think at all) just absorb it, become its structure. 3. Release: Kiss it goodbye (intimacy is Power) send it back, off into Abyss. Thank Spirits, Goddess\God, or Chaos. Do Banishing, Vide Liber Kaos for a excellent one - The Gonistic Pentegram Ritual. Laughter also works rather well... GENERAL REMARKS: Things will get even still more intersting, when more people have those pagers that except alphabetical messages too. Another cool thing about beeper magick is, like creating mantras (vide Frater U.D.s Practical Sigil Magick), you dont have to be Fucking Picaso to do a ritual! Also E-mail would be another area to explore, but with computers its hard to say when the target will read their mail. But when those portable E-mail systems increase in popularity, this method will come to dominate Cyber enchantment. A final suggestion, it might be a cool Idea when you recieve a beeper spell (or at least THINK you have) would be to say something like "IO CHAOS" (or yer favorite Godform) & then instantly (or as SOON as possible!) do a GPR (or any banishing). Something you want to definetly avoid is assuming the worst. FEAR IS A POISON, there is no question about this. And if you get defensive and it was meant benignly, you may end up nulling the efx. Be indifferient, even respectful, until you have sound evidence to be cautious. My understanding with the GPR and this attitude is that if it has benigin intentions then, your strength will be fertile ground for the seed to grow. On the other hand the GPR & your psychic wellbeing, is also your psychic (or etheric to use a CMT term) Immune system to resist negative influence. With a healthy Strong Psychic system youll be in an excellent position to fight off any psychic\magickal attack & even retaliate. Dont succumb to the Demon Paranoia, it will only make a slave of you, and could even mean your death. Be strong and you will SURVIVE. This of course aplies not only to magick in general, but to all areas of life. So enjoy, be merry, and remember those imortal words of wisdom...
