RGSQ was creating dupes in the Renegade MBASES.DAT based on a 9
character file name. Now fixed to 8. Sorry about that.

Problem arose when BadMsg wasn't being tossed due to msg Kludge. RGSQ
will now create echo directory, so Renegade won't puke, putting
system into a loop. If you didn't see this, sorry, it was a site to
witness. <G>

USENET FIX

"Okay, a small problem has occured. I recently turned on some
USENET newsgroups from my feed. alt.folklore.college and
alt.folklore.computers were two of them. Seal grabbed them fine:"

Ok, this is a limitation of DOS. Eight Characters a period, then an
extension. Sometimes we forget these things. Here is what I did to
fix this.

Took the first three, and the last five characters, and used this
unique name to create the Renegade Message file. This fix should be
good for awhile. <PRAYING>

EchoArea ALT.FOLKLORE.COLLEGE
Renegade Msg file and header ALTLLEGE

Thanks Troy Engel for bring this up. I was using GIGO to bring my
Usenet feeds in, so I automatically told it to create eight character
Tags.

************EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE RELEASE************

Did clear a string, hence the garbage showing up in logs. If you
didn't catch this, good. That just means I got this fix out in time.

Sorry for the slight mess-up. Seems if there were to many spaces
after logfile a runtime was generated. Should of seen that one
coming. It's fixed.

      c. /C will allow Tag group will be appended as the Conference

I found out that it has to be in the squish dir (you should doc
that), and that it MUST have the trailing "\" after ;RENEGADE
C:\RENEGADE\ in order to work (doc that also).

Troy Engel

1. Fixed. Thanks. That was a carry over from my poor programming.

Rodney

    1. Would it be possible to pick up the address the base comes
from and put that into Renegade? I don't know if that's a tough
one or not, but I've noticed that all my test runs threw in my
default address (1:103/512, my Fido address), when actually the
    echoes were from other nets.

    2. Looks like it picks up the origin line from whatever the last
echo base is... In my case, the last echo had an alternate origin
line that was ...ummm... less than fit for general consumption.
:) Having it just use Renegade's default origin line might be
    better.

Patrick Nelson.

    1. Fixed. Now takes first Zone it reaches, and uses it. 2. Fixed.
    Looks up Renegades default Origin.
