----------------------------------------------------------
<P><B>Late March Notes: 03/25: Brad Carson, Jay Hodges, Bryan Turner,
Michael Ciesiensky, Charlie Wardick. Recent Lord Releases, Bryan
Stanbridge, Jason Brown. <I>Notice:</I> My Fidonet node address is
changed from 1:18/450 to 1:123/450. <I>03/28:</I> Started work on
relocating my Castle Camelot web-site over to Michael Preslar's
Lordlegacy.org server. Uploaded all text and HTML files, GIF/JPG
image files, and .ZIP files used by my site to Camelot directory.
Uploaded all primary text/HTML files used by Kiteria's Korner! site
to kiteria directory. Most image files used by Kiteria site uploaded,
except for some Icon graphics. <I>03/29:</I> Relocated the LordNews
HTML issue .ZIP files to the Archives subdirectory. Relocated the
LordNews HTML web-page files to main Camelot directory. Uploaded
the Kiteria site's icon graphics files to the Kiteria directory. </B></P>

<P><B>03/30: The new Kiteria's Korner site is mostly finished, at
www.lordlegacy.org/kiteria/, and only needed some error corrections.
My current priorities are: 1) Work on my current "Gem Trader" Lady
Script. (2) Verifying links are working, and images displaying
properly on both sites. (4/05 Status: Mostly done.) (3) Update the
LordNews HTML issue #1 - #10 pages to reflect new locations of files.
(4/05 Status: Mostly done.) (4) Removal of most, or all, pages from
GeoCities site, sometime in April. </B></P>

<P><B> <I>03/31:</I> I have taken over full control of Kiteria's Korner
and it is partly updated, as to the Archives, IGMs, and Links pages.
I'm searching for someone willing to take over the Official LORD II
IGM Archive site from Bobby Queen. Or to help me manage the site, if
I put it back up again somewhere. The current site is shut down now,
as of April 10th, 2002. If you are interested, write to me AND to Bobby.
Use ktidmore@bellsouth.net and wizards@shelby.net email addresses.
Note: I am not using the bellsouth email address in hyperlinks anywhere,
to avoid it becoming a target of spammers. Revised 04/11/02. </B>

<P><B>April News: <I>04/02:</I> GemTrade.ldy is working and has been
officially released. I've only tested using the 4.07 beta version, but
friends have tested the script under Lord 4.06 also. The latest updates
of Belgarion's Lady Scripts v1.20 was posted to Fidonet on April 09th.
See: <A href="http://www.filegate.net/camelot/lordfile/gemtr101.zip">
gemtr101.zip</A>, and <A href="http://www.lordlegacy.org/camelot/Scripts/
dgt-lady.zip">dgt-lady.zip</A> files.
<I>04/05:</I> I've been concentrating on web-page relocation stuff
lately, so I am not trying to do frequent newsletter updates of this
issue. Entries added: Kenneth Padgett. Entry update: Gary Hartzell.
Archived some March development notes, and Issue #10 update notes, inside
the cc11note.txt, available in the lnws-11h.zip issue archive file.
LORD Analysis section rewritten. <I>04/11:</I> All old LordNews HTML issue
files are up-to-date as to removal of GeoCities site links. Only issues
#1-#6 are fully updated as to verifying email/web-site links for
participating LORD authors. <U>Note:</U> Except for HTML web-pages, which
are retained until I have new Access Counters in use, all LordNews material

<P><B> 02/27 Notes, rewritten 4/05: LordNews Issue #10 appendix was
rewritten to bring it up-to-date. Component files Authors-Info.txt,
Lost-Authors.txt, and Usable-IGMs.txt, are periodically updated
separately also. To view updates, see <A href="Lordnews/CC10-APP.TXT">
CC10-APP.TXT</A> file. The Usable-IGMs file has a new section,
listing IGM releases made since Issue #10's publication in early
February 2002. On March 08, Issue #10 was revised to correct some
omissions in the Year-End Summary Section. I forgot to cover work
done by Brian May, Chuck Culver, and Bryan Stanbridge. <I>04/20:</I>
Work on changing Castle Camelot URLs in the old LordNews HTML issue
files is finished. Some updates done on old LordNews Text issue
files. <I>05/11:</I> The last full update of Issue #10's Appendix was
on April 06. </B></P>

<P><B> May 2002 Notes: 05/01: Started work on new Bandit Lady script.
Will shut down the GeoCities site sometime this month. Tentative
official release date for Issue #11 set for May 16. Moved April notes
to cc11note.txt archival file. <I>05/03:</I> Gary Hartzell entry; LORD
Features Analysis section revised. 05/04-07: Larivee entry created,
and updated. Finished the Bandit Script. 05/08: Updating old
Issue's HTML files to revise email links, as needed. Bobby Queen
entry, Elric info added. Added Non-Participating Authors Info Section.
05/11 Revisions: Lloyd Hannesson, Michael Preslar, Charlie Wardick,
Janet Terry, LORD Releases Section, Kenneth Padgett. Added LORD Source
Code Proposal section; and revised LORD IGMs Testing Section. Added
Tien Lung entry. Revised Old Lord2 Authors info paragraph. 05/14:
Did first Spell check of issue. 05/15 updates: Janet Terry; LORD
Files Section. </B>
<IMG SRC="lord-bar.gif" HEIGHT=12 WIDTH=600 ALT="Red LORD barline"></P>

<P><B> <I>04/20 Update:</I> During most of April, the LORD 4.07 beta
was unsuitable for Local-Mode play. It limited a game session to 9.5
minutes. This was fixed in the April 29 compilation. The Events.ldy
file, containing official LORD Lady Scripts, is used as a test-bed
to illustrate changes in the LADY Script Language. Troll.ldy added
in April to illustrate new script variables. Rewritten May 3rd.
</B></P>

05/08: Apparently, an IGM can change Weapon/Armour name, but a script
can not do the same thing. Both Weapon Name and Armour Name are
"read-only" in current version of Lord, according to Gordon Lewicky's
research. Bandit script changed to an weapon damage scenario, which
works fine.

<P><B>From April: Oddities about LORD v4.02+ related by IGM authors:
In older versions of LORD, users could independently change the
Weapon/Armour numbers and Weapon/Armour names. That's not allowed
in Lordcfg currently, but apparently can still be done by IGMs. </B>

<P><B>Added section on 05/11/2002. Whenever I look at the 122
unusable LORD IGMs, and 46 unusable LORD Utilities, on my system, I
feel sad. And angry at authors who could fix them, but refuse to do
so. Most of us know who the "deadbeats" are, so I am not naming them
here. The majority of unusable LORD programs have RTE200. The rest
can't be installed due to configuration failures. One IGM, LORD Life,
crashes Windows ME system totally, requiring a hard reboot.
I've tried to locate lost authors in past months using search
engines, and I've tried hundreds of possible email addresses. Mostly
to no avail. Sometimes I got lucky. I found Jay Hodges and Mike
Ciesiensky, for example, through email inquires and postcards. The
recent loss of my friend Lloyd Hannesson led me to realize that
something needs to be done. So, I propose to create a storehouse of
LORD author's source code files. Unless Michael Preslar or someone
else can create a location online, that is password-protected, the
storehouse would be on my system only. And backed up on diskettes and
Iomega ZIP Disk.
The way I propose to do this is as follows. 1) Obtain copies of
author's source code archives who choose to participate. Along with
their permission to turn them over to another active for continued
support, if necessary. 2) If an author disappears, I would try to
reach them by postal mail, and online inquiries. If unsuccessful,
after 2-3 months, I would release their programs to someone to provide
support for them. 3) If an author comes back later, they can simply
resume supporting their programs, or leave them with the new host
author. If you are interested, let me know using either of my email
accounts: (remove -NOSPAM) donald.tidmore-NOSPAM@usa.net or
ktidmore-NOSPAM@bellsouth.net; or via the DoorGames/Lord echoes on
Fidonet: 1:123/450 is my Fidonet address. Donald. </B>

LordNews Text file editing notes:
Part One: Formatted to 70 right margin - 1:30 am May 16, 2002.
Part Two: converted to 70 right margin. 1:38 am, May 16, 2002.
------------------------------------------------------------

Paragraph Reworded on May 16th:
03/11: New IGM testing stats: 99 IGMs listed as Fully Usable. 8 IGMs
reclassified usable, with usage of Node 1 configuration. 6 IGMs are
fully usable, and undergoing beta testing. 1 new IGM update, Redwood
Restaurant v2.00, starting beta testing. 4 IGMs are unusable in Local
Mode, and 3 IGMs are verified as usable only on BBS systems. 16 IGMs are
unusable for non RTE200-related reasons. 106 IGMs are unusable due to
partial/total RTE200 lockup.

<P><B>New LORD Features report: Sysops/stand-alone users can edit the
Red Dragon and the Trainers, if they have registered their game. The
Forest Monsters and the Dragon are made stronger each time you defeat
the Dragon. For other new features, always read the whatsnew.txt file
from a current betalord.zip archive. And play the beta version to see
what's changed. Some major updates: elimination of the bug that ate
text in Romantic Mail, etc. Elimination of the CPU monopolization
bug. Eliminations of various "cheats" like the "Death Crystal" event.
Increased stability of the game, and more functions in Lordcfg.exe.
In several ways, the new version is better than v4.06 is. </B></P>
