The Anemia Merger

Surprise. Surprise. Anemia did release, and we're still on the
scene. I might as well explain the story of our supposed "death" here
to avoid explaining it countless more times on irc than I already have.
As most of you know, Essbee left the scene after the January 1996 pack
was released. He left Pixel Pusher and Cheeze Monkey in charge. Cheeze
Monkey quit, and Tsk was the Vice President or something like that.
Nothing was really very definite as to who was in charge after Essbee
left and a bunch of rumors went flying around because there was very poor
group communication, and nobody to clear up the rumors. Anyway, Tsk
thought it would be cool to help out his new group Think, so he merged
Anemia into it. Since Tsk wasn't even the leader of Anemia it didn't
really make sense that he would try something as stupid as that. He did
anyway, and I heard that he was planning on doing it before he did. I
called Essbee on the phone right after I found out about it, and we
planned Anemia's comeback to the scene. We decided that we wouldn't
stop Tsk from merging Anemia because Anemia had already fallen far below
the level of quality that it should be at. We thought that this would
actually help us because it would cut the numbers of members down
considerably. We were pretty sure that there were some loyal members of
Anemia who would help us make it better than ever. We didn't know how to
contact a lot of the members, and there were a lot that we didn't want
want to contact to rejoin Anemia until after this pack was released.
Anemia started out as a local group in 206, so I contacted all of those
members who have regularly contributed to Anemia before to rejoin first.
Essbee never did come back as planned, and says that he never will. I
tend to doubt that he will never come back, but he still claims he won't.
Just in case you didn't know, Think was renamed Cancer. The Cancer
pack basically blew chode, but what do you expect with a dedicated leader
like Whitetrash? Cancer died after their first pack. Then WT revived
the group, then they died again, and I'm not sure exactly how many times
  they've died since. :)

The New, Improved Anemia

Essbee told me that I could run Anemia now that it's back, and he's
not around to do it anymore. The quality control will be much tougher
than ever before, and we won't be accepting nearly as many people. I
encourage former members to reapply, but just because you were a member
before doesn't mean that you'll be accepted again. I put Virt on the
list as the VP, and I may give the leadership of Anemia away to him, or
someone else in the next few months if I feel that they can do a good job,
and stay dedicated to the group.

April 1996

This month's pack is by far the best that has ever been released by
Anemia. Thanks to CatBones for being the stud that he is, and unselfishly
contributing to the pack. He didn't even ask for anything in return. :)
Also thanks to every other Anemia member who contributed, great job. Mung
is working on setting up the Anemia web page. It's still in the early
stages, and is under construction. You're welcome to check it out though

If you have any questions, comments, complaints, or whatever about Anemia,
mail them to coug@zipnet.com. That address may change in a couple of
weeks, but you can contact Virt, or I on irc anytime. :)
