          TITLE:  PRIMARY PARTITION TOO SMALL TO INSTALL DR DOS

        SYMPTOM:  DR DOS WILL NOT INSTALL IF THE PRIMARY
PARTITION IS TOO SMALL.

  ISSUE/PROBLEM:  If the primary partition is less than 2.5 MB
(Megabytes) DR DOS will not install.  If Security is enabled
during installation, FDISK cannot correct this situation because
of the secure disk.  Installation will not complete, but security
will be installed.

       SOLUTION:  Follow the procedures outlined below.

1.   Boot from the original DR DOS 6 installation diskette  
2.   Press F10 to abort and exit to DOS
3.   From the A: Prompt, type SYS C:\  This command makes the
     hard disk bootable 
4.   Copy the following files to the root directory of C:
          LOGIN.EXE           CONFIG.SYS
          AUTOEXEC.BAT        SSTORDRV.SYS        DEVSWAP.COM

5.   Copy the following files to the DRDOS directory on C:
          INSTALL.EXE         FDISK.COM

6.   Rename C:\INSTALL.EXE to C:\SETUP.EXE  
7.   Remove the floppy from drive A: and reboot the computer
8.   Enter the Master password  
9.   At the C: prompt, type SETUP 
10.  Select only the SECURITY option  
11.  Enable SECURITY and enter a different password for the
     MASTER PASSWORD and the USER PASSWORD  
12.  Complete the installation and exit to DOS  
13.  Run SETUP again  
14.  Disable SECURITY, complete the installation and exit to DOS
15.  Type FDISK and remove all partitions on the hard drive
16.  Create a primary partition of at least 3MB in size
     (recommended- 10MB)  
17.  Reboot with the original installation diskette and complete
     the installation process.
