Novell NetWare 4.0 Server Installation
for the DTC3x80, DTC3x90 and DTC3x92 Host Adaptors

The ASPI manager and hard disk drivers for DTC3x80AS, DTC3x90AS and
DTC3x92AS are built-in to the NetWare 4.0 operating system. Both the
DTC ASPI manager and DTC disk drivers need to be loaded before a
NetWare partition can be created.

1. Complete the hardware setup and installation for DTC SCSI host adaptors
according the adaptors' installation guide. Write down the hardware setting
for each DTC host adaptor in the system.

2. Begin the installation for NetWare 4.0 according to Novell manual.
(Run INSTALL.EXE)

3. When the Load Disk Driver screen appears, choose the appropriate DTC
ASPI driver:

    *   For the DTC3x80, choose DTC80AS4.DSK
	Enter BIOS Base Address : hhhhh, a 5-figure hexidecimal number,
	which corresponds to the Memory Address setting of the DTC host
	adaptor.
    *   For the DTC3x90 or DTC3x92, choose DTC90AS4.DSK
	Enter Base I/O Port Address : hhh, a 3-figure hexidecimal number,
	which corresponds to the I/O Port Address in the EISA configuration
	program for the DTC host adaptor.

4. After the driver DTCxxAS4 was successfully loaded, select Load another
driver to go back to the Load Disk Driver screen. Next, select the
appropriate DTC disk driver:

	*    For the DTC3x80, choose DTC80HD4.DSK
	*    For the DTC3x90 or DTC3x92, choose DTC90HD4.DSK

5. Upon successful completion of loading the DTC drivers, the Novell
Installation procedure will report back that the driver was successfully
loaded.

6. Edit/Modify the STARTUP.NCF File:
You will need to edit the STARTUP.NCF file because it does not include
the command line "load DTCxxAS4" when NetWare 4.0 creates the file.

	* For the DTC3x80, add the following line:

		   load DTC80AS4 mem = hhhhh

	     where hhhhh=D800 (default) or DC00, C800, CC00

	* For the DTC3x90 or DTC3x92, add the following line:

		   load DTC9xAS4 port = hhh

	     where hhh=330 (default) or 130,134,230,234,334

7. The installation portion for the DTC host adaptor is now complete.
The Novell 4.0 installation will proceed with Edit the AUTOEXEC.NCF and
then continue with "Other installation option".

* NOTE * For Duplexing under Novell 4.0:

When 2 DTC SCSI controllers are being used, you will need to load the
DTC ASPI driver twice but will only need to load the DTC disk driver once.
