CHINA --- RETURN OUR PRISONERS OF WAR FROM THE VIETNAM WAR AND THE
            KOREAN WAR

RESOLVE the PRISONER OF WAR ISSUE, from the Korean War and the
Vietnam War!!! This issue remains a priority with the Families and
Activists, who represent the National Alliance of Families for the Return of
AMERICA's Missing Servicemen from World War II, the Korean War, the Cold War
 and the Vietnam War.

Our Organization is not against TRADE with CHINA. But the POW ISSUE
is a long overdue obligation for China, to prove that she wants the
friendship of all the American People". stated National Chairperson Dolores
Alfond. "We have families, who have been suffering through years of NOT
knowing, awaiting word of their loved one. I'm sure the 4,000 Chinese
families, who lost their loved ones in the Vietnam War would agree. Let us
clear the air, so we may be friends and partners."

 THE VIETNAM WAR:

In May 1989, the Chinese Government publicly admitted that it's
troops had a direct combat role in the Vietnam War. China admitted for the
first time, that is send more than 300,000 Combat Troops to Vietnam to fight
against U.S. Forces. More than 4,000 Chinese soldiers were killed during the
 Vietnam War.

There are many cases where our planes have been in air to air combat
with the Chinese MIG aircraft. The Chinese reporting shootdowns and
captures. Even with this reporting, only one American Prisoner of War was
returned dur- ing the Vietnam War and he came through Hong Kong, only one
set of remains has been received as well.

There are many stories to tell concerning China in Vietnam, but one of
the most disheartening is about Charles Dale, 02/USA, Pilot and David
Demmon, E5/USA, Electronic sensore operator. These men departed Vung Tau in
an OVIC (fitted with infrared detection equipment and a forward aimed
camera) on an undisclosed surveillance mission. Eighty-seven minutes after
take off, some- where over the U Minh Forest, the aircraft dissappeared!
Reports were received as late as 1987 that both these men were alive and
serving as houseboys to the Pro-China Vietnamese officials. These officials
have fled Vietnam and now live in China. documents available.

America would like the above listed men home, along with the 1,000's
who remain on lists, waiting to be accounted for.

       THE KOREAN WAR:

Lt. Paul Jacobson, a 24 yr. old pilot was attacked by MIG Aircraft in
February, of 1953, over North Korea. He surfaced in Antung, Manchuria. He
was placed in the Market Place, surrounded by hundreds of Chinese. They
stripped him of his uniform and gave him a Chinese uniform. Lt. Jacobson, is
only one of 1,000's held by the Chinese. (documents available)

1951-Early April; 500 American POWs arrived in Hankow where they were
 paraded through the streets.

1951-Mid-April; 60 POWs, mostly American with a few British, arrived
 in Canton via Railway.

1952-January; 400 U.S. Prisoners (300 of these were Negroes) arrived
 in Canton. (document available)

The United States had 1,000's of names, ranks, and locations of our
POWs from the U.S. and Britain. The U.S. had so much evidence regarding our
Boys that the United States planned to have a field of Sea and Air Blockade
of the China Coast which was stated by James J. Kelleher, Office of Special
 Operations (CPOW/3 D-1-1955).

In November of 1978; Steve F. Kiba discussed his first hand sightings
of individuals while he was held by the Red Chinese during the Korean War.
Mr. Kiba was discouraged in his effort to discuss his experiences and was
discouraged in his efforts to discuss the sightings by the U.S. Air Force
Intelligence, the CIA and the Department of State. (document available)

The National Alliance of Families would like to encourgae China to
step forward and resolve our concerns by returning our LIVE PRISONERS OF WAR
and any REMAINS they may be holding. We then can discuss the future of our
two countries in Trade and Friendship.
