This is the Megabank v1.20 currently containing about 282 instruments:
        * One Instrument bank: 128 patches, 19,440,767 bytes
	* Almost complete GS-drumset: Brush, Electronic, Orchestra
Power, Room, Sound effects, Standard (bank 0) and Tr-808
..about 154 patches and 5,856,734 bytes
        * Sample midi-files+Patref.hlp+Gipc111 in MegaInst.Exe ->
        * GS Capital instrument bank on file MegaInst.Exe ->
        * GS Drum set in file MegaDrum.Exe ->
        * Note: .Dat files are raw patch/wave info
.Fff are patchset ini files for .Dat file..
NB: -> means all other files with the same name, but with different
                extension, like megaInst.r01, MegaInst,r02, MegaInst.R03 etc..
In other words: Keep them both together in same directory
when unextracting! And to start unextracting them, just
type either MegaInst or MegaDrum in that directory you
downloaded them into. Make sure you have plenty of
space, though! And please be warned that these files
are compressed as much as possible, therefore uncompressing
them does take quite a while....
@ Download both the MegaInst.* and MegaBank.* files before experiencing :) @
                                *******

All together they occupy about 25,297,501 bytes, and should work like normal
on a Gravis Ultrasound Plug&Play with 5mbytes of Dram using Dos/Windows.
Windows is highly recommended, as you will benefit alot from using the
effects which, strangely, Dos Play.exe still doesn't support :(

Hehe..found a limit on the current Ultrasound p&p :
It can't access patch-banks bigger than 20 mb!
(or something like 19,634,313 bytes.. dunno..
just to explain why I had to split the files down..)
Therefore: I pushed the banksize to the limit!!

Using only the MegaDrum or MegaInst as replacements

* You can also use the MegaDrum.* as a replacement for the current
patchset you are using, which means that it only will replace
the drums, and add new GS drumkits.
* And, by using only the MegaInst.* only the standard instruments
will be replaced, the drums will remain the same.
* Note: To actually hear them, look at the included Iw.ini file.
Take a look at my file, which is included...

                           Other information

The patches used were created by ...nope, not me.. I didn't make a single
sample! Well..I did do some work on then, like converting and adding effects.. :)
What I did was surf the internet a couple of weeks, till I
finally had over 500 patches. Well, only 282 of those were usable...
I used some from the original Gus Classic GM patchset (Soundtrack, which
actually is one of the best around.., lead5th), some from the Propats 3.0,
some from Propats Lite and the rest are really Kurzweil samples. Why
the patchset is so big, is because most of them are multisampled at 44khz
16 bits. So, what I did was a heroic try at assembling the best
patches into one big Gs patchset. Enjoy! And, while you are reading this:
If you look in the other directory, you will find some midi-files,
Gipc 1.11 and Patref.hlp. Well, what the heck is patref.hlp?!? Hehe...
double-click on it in Windows, and have a look :)

                            Troubleshooting

* Too loud output, noise, music suddenly disappears:
Try lowering the effects in GUS p&p mixer
* There are no drums/instruments are gone when playing midi-files in Windows!!
             1) Problems with avaliable RAM on Gus. Also problems with
the patch-cacheing. Try STOP playing the song, then press
PLAY again. The remaining patches will hopefully be
                loaded into the Ram.
             2) Try entering Dox box, then enter IWINIT. This will clear
the GUS Ram, and therefore make it possible to load more
patches. Note, to actually do this, you need to exit every
program that uses your Gus P&P.
*  No effects on instruments:
Dunno, maybe lack of avaliable memory? You should at least
have 2mbytes of Dram before using the effects slider. By
increasing the effects output, you also decrease avaliable
memory, as the effects-processing seems to be using this
memory, not only the 16k's included on the card.
*  No effects on drums:
                Well, I hesitated for a while on this..Why don't I try
fix this one before uploading it?...tried several days,
no success..then I read something: GIPC seems to convert
drum banks without effects enabled ..or something..
So, until GIPC 1.12,1.2 or something or PatchMaker for p&p
is released, there's nothing more to do than create reverb
effects manually on the patches, then make that
patch.fff/patch.dat file. Anyway, not my fault!
*  I don't know..are there any more??

@ Using this patchset, you start thinking: Wow, now this isn't too bad
after all. Now if I just had some more Ram so I could hear those drums
and those 0,8mbytes fantasia, trumpets, strings, pianos and flutes :( @
