Welcome to Qnode 3.0 for Windows. Copyright 1995 Advanced Software Development

This program was development for netbios based networks, to help network
administrators document their workstation network addresses, a process
that can save a lot of time in error tracking. As far as I know,
Windows for workgroups does not supply any facility for displaying a
workstations network address. Network errors are normally displayed
by network address, and unless you have a network sniffer or other
management type software, you have no way of identifying the offending
workstation. Hopefully Qnode will lighten the load :)

I tested the program under windows 95, result = ouch. Windows NT would
probably throw up if I tested Qnode on it, so I havent actually tried,
if it works for you, let me know. If you know of a way of calling
INT 0x5C under NT or 95, pleeeeeze let me know, then I can modify
Qnode, giving credit where credit is due, naturally :)

I have no idea whether or not this program will return the correct
information if used on Novell workstations that are running Novell's
netbios emulation program. If you try it, feel free to let me know
the results.

Version 3.0 is freeware, yours to use until your blue in the face, you
do not have to pay a registration free, please do not sell it as a
standalone utility (ie. on one disk, this does not apply to shareware/
freeware cd collections), you may not modify it in any way. It can be
distributed as a freeware utility (as part of a collection), however you
may not use Qnode to generate income in the capacity of a purchased
network management tool. This is strictly prohibited.

Version 3.1 includes a facility to update the adapter prefix list, a
feature which would make Qnode more usable on your specific network.
Also includes a facility to export the listing to a DBF file.
Email me for details on how to obtain this version.

If you have any suggestions, ideas, shortcuts or knowledge of bugs,
please email me. If you find the program useful, let me know too.

MAJOR DISCLAIMER : Qnode is certified trojan free, timebomb free, virus free,
(it was virus free when it left my place), but it is NOT certified bug free.
If it crashes, let me know by email. If your network produces problems after
using Qnode, it is NOT due to Qnode, this I am certain off. Qnode simply
performs ASTATUS commands on adapters. (ASTATUS is a standard netbios command)
