                 RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
****************************************************************************

1) Ensure that the version of LANtastic for TCP/IP being run is v1.1. This
version should be reported by ASTCP.EXE upon loading. If LANtastic for
TCP/IP v1.0 is in use, it is recommended to upgrade the version to 1.1
before proceeding. This upgrade is freely available from Artisoft's BBS
and ftp site as the files TCP1.EXE and TCP2.EXE.
Once these patches have been applied, ASTCP.EXE should report upon loading
   that it is version 2.0.

2) Make a backup of the files listed above using either the COPY or REN
   commands.

3) Copy all files from this patch into the directory where all LANtastic
for TCP/IP files are located. If LANtastic for TCP/IP has been installed
as a centralized-management server; it should only be necessary to copy
these files to the central machine. Otherwise, it will be necessary to
replace these files on the individual workstations.

4) Reboot workstation(s) that require the drivers to be loaded.

NFSAD111.EXE
------------
NFSAD111.EXE is not used on client PCs and may be safely deleted from them.
This file is a self-extracting archive file which encapsulates a tarfile
containing source code and an installation guideline. It is intended for use
on Unix and VMS servers that do not have a version 2.0 lock daemon (commonly
called 'pcnfsd' or 'nfslockd') which is required by LANtastic for TCP/IP
v1.1. This is a public domain program and was not created by Artisoft.
Artisoft does not support the compilation or installation of this program, nor
does Artisoft assume any liability for its use. It is provided here as a
