AB Disseminated aspergillosis is a systemic fungal infection that may occur
in previously healthy or immunocompromised patients. The condition,
although rare, is being recognized with increasing frequency in persons
with the human immunodeficiency virus. Clinical genitourinary
involvement is unusual. We present a case of renal abscess for
Aspergillus fumigatus in a patient with acquired immunodeficiency
syndrome who complained of flank pain and fever.
