1066. Edward the Confesser has died and the struggle for England has begun.
The remaining Anglo-Saxon empire is attacked on all sides: the vikings of
Normandy under William threaten the entire island from the south, and the
Danish Vikings are rekindling their intrest in the north, attacking the coast at
every chance. A fleet of warships closes in on eastern Britain and the shadow falls.
Meanwhile, the three Celtic nations in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland have formed
a weak alliance: Prince Brian Boru has united all of the Green Isle to his forces,
and the Scotts and Briton Celts are likewise ready to begin an invasion of their own.
Can the Anglo-Saxons keep control of the crown and unite Britain? Or will the entire
country fall to the Norman invaders?
This is the ultimate fight for the throne, and one of the single most important struggle
of Britain before the War of the Roses. The isles are in great danger....
When it comes to the Crown of Lords and Lands, the powers of civilization will stop
at nothing.
