VACRAO (Virginia ACRAO Discussion List)

    Purpose: For sharing information about questions, issues, and essays
    of interest to members of the Virginia Association of Collegiate
    Registrars and Admissions Officers.  It is the intent of this forum
    to focus discussion which might occur on various other lists (REGIST-L,
    ENROLL-L, INTER-L, SECUSSA, NACUBO, CUMREC-L, SPEEDE-L, IEFT-EDI,
    STU-DEV, AAUA-L, HEPROC-L) more closely on the interests and practices
    at VACRAO member institutions.  Recent suggestions for postings include
    discussing electronic transmission of academic or loan certification
    information; comparing administrative practices such as registration
    rules or commencement traditions; asking questions about issues of
    national import and their effects in VACRAOdom (INS regulations or the
    recently announced oversight of state loan agencies by a designated
    body). This forum is sanctioned by the Executive Committee of VACRAO.

The Weird Science Society Mailing List

    Purpose: An open, public forum for the Weird Science Society, an
    organization devoted to promoting amateur scientific research and
    experimentation, especially in areas of unusual, or unconventional
    sciences and technologies.  The list is a technically oriented
    mailing list, designed to les individuals swap plans, theories,
    and experimental resullts, and coordinate & plan group projects.
    Examples of topics include (but are not limited to): Free energy,
    zero point devices, neurophones, bizzare magnetic devices, amateur
    high energy experiments, scalar technologies, various Tesla
    inventions, and amateur space sciences and projects. 

    Detailed technical posts, posting of diagrams, experimental results,
    'HOWTO' type posts, etc, are all encouraged. Involvement of some
    kind by persons of ALL levels of technological expertice are also 
    encouraged, (Just b'cause you may not know much about it now dosen't 
    mean you can't learn).

    This list maintains a collection of files, such as plans, blueprints,
    experimental results, papers detailing various theories and odd 
    phenomena, and pictures, etc related to list topics. These files
    can be retreived in uuencoded format, by email, through the Majordomo
    software that runs the list.  The commands to do so are detailed in
    the help message received by sending a message with the word HELP in
    the body to majordomo@integral.org.

ZForum

    Purpose: ZForum is intended to handle messages concerned with the
    formal specification notation Z. Z, based on set theory and first
    order predicate logic, has been developed at the Oxford University
    Computing Laboratory.  It is used by industry as part of the
    software (and hardware) development process in both the UK and the
    US. It is currently undergoing international ISO standardization.
    ZForum provides a convenient forum for messages and queries
    concerned with recent developments and the use of Z.  ZForum is
    gatewayed to the USENET newsgroup comp.specification.z.
