The Internet Protocol Adapter (IPAD) 1.5
                               New Features List
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
In response to queries about the new features in the 1.5 release of the
IPAD, we present the following partial list of confirmed features.

Frame Relay
-----------

The IPAD now supports the frame relay protocol directly without the need
for an external frame relay adapter (FRAD) as was previously required.
Multi PVC support allows up to 11 frame relay leased lines to be simulated
in or out of the IPAD, dramatically reducing the cost of feeding other
sites with frame relay leased lines.

E-mail Redirector
-----------------

E-mail may now be forwarded at the "envelope" level. This means that
e-mail directed to an address such as user@yoursite.com can be re-directed
to another address such as one on the same site (e.g.,someone@yoursite.com)
or at an entirely new site (e.g.,someone.else@somewhere.else.com).

E-mail Responder
----------------

A new information server allows you to define an e-mail address that
"responds" with a text file to any message delivered to it. For example,
you might configure the address info@yoursite.com to return information
   about your company or organization.

POP3 Mailbox Size
-----------------

POP3 mailboxes may now be limited by byte size on a user-by-user basis.
This allows you to restrict users from receiving large messages and
"encourage" them not to use the "leave message on server" option found
   in many mail readers.

POP3 Mail Indexing
------------------

The IPAD now indexes POP3 mailboxes, allowing for faster e-mail retrieval.

Local Screen Display
--------------------

The local screen has been updated to allow you to choose the amount of
information displayed. There are now three windows for (1) telnet/terminal
   server, (2) interfaces (e.g.,leased lines, dial-up modem/ISDN interfaces,
etc.), and (3) client/server sessions (e.g.,DNS lookups, web server hits,
etc.). You may specify the size of the terminal server and interface
windows and may even disable them if you wish. By default, the IPAD will
determine whether a window is needed and its appropiate size.

Additionally, the IPAD will display the local console in 25, 28, 43, or
50 text lines, allowing for greater display of system activity.

Interface Configuration Statements
----------------------------------

The PACKET statement has been expanded to reflect the actual interface
type being defined. The new statements are:

   ETHERNET Ethernet LAN interfaces.
   TOKEN_RING Token ring LAN interfaces.
SYNC_PPP Synchronous PPP leased line interfaces.
FRAME_RELAY Frame relay leased line interfaces.

Addtionally, added error checking will warn you if you define static routes
   that overlap.

and more!
