HISTORY OF POINTADV.ZIP FILE:

This is the history of the Point Advise file by Andrew Roads:

Summer 1995: The first version is written after I write a long e-mail,
helping someone out with their configuration file. I then
decide to write the rest, instead of having to repeat myself
constantly. The file is first a "Help" document on Pacific
              Lightning BBS.

Winter 1995/1996: I decide to update the version on Pacific Lightning BBS,
and end up sending the zipped file to a few more BBS's in
the UK, and in the TERMINAT, and TERMINAT_UK echos.

Spring 1996: After quite a few more BBS's and people become more interested
in the help file, I decide to write another version, this time
with and index, and hopefully in a more clearly defined way,
also with extra information on the new Terminate Version 4.00.
This version ends up being sent on the Terminate File Network,
              and becomes World Wide.

Summer 1996: Once again I decide to update, and change the existing version,
and add in a few extra pointas of information, but with this
version is now the FAQ file by Dennis Janssen. This version is
also (hopefully) better stuctured, and has also been "Alpha"
tested (read!) so there are no syntax errors etc.

Future Releases: I may try a hypertext, or similar kind of system, to make
navigating the help file eaiser.
