INSTALL README for the NetWare Workstation for OS/2 v2.01

The NetWare Workstation for OS/2 v2.01 consists of 3 self-
extracting files, WSOS21.EXE, WSOS22.EXE, and WSOS2D.EXE.
Once these files are downloaded, there are 3 methods that can be
used to complete the installation of the NetWare Workstation for
OS/2 v2.01 (aka "NetWare Requester").

Method 1: Extract files to Hard disk & install from Hard disk

Instructions for installing from Hard disk

NOTE: You must extract the .EXE files to the hard disk on
which the NetWare Requester is to be installed.

1. To install the NetWare Requester from your hard disk, you must
have adequate disk space to allow for the extracted files as
well as the installed Requester files to reside on the hard
disk at the same time (approximately 6 MB). The extracted
files can be deleted once the installation is completed.

2. At the root of your local hard disk, create a directory
     called TEMP.

Example: At the C:\ prompt, type

                    MD TEMP

3. Extract WSOS21.EXE, WSOS22.EXE, and WSOS2D.EXE into the TEMP
directory using the -d option to create the required
     subdirectories.

Example: At the command line, type

                    WSOS21 -d C:\TEMP

4. In an OS/2 Session, CD into the TEMP directory and type
INSTALL. The NetWare Workstation for OS/2 Installation screen
will appear. Follow the instructions that appear on the
screen to install the NetWare Requester on the workstation.

Method 2: Extract files to hard disk & install from diskette

Instructions for creating diskettes from corresponding directories

1. Create the following subdirectories on your hard disk:
     WSOS2_1, WSOS2_2, and WSDRV_1.

Example: At the C:\ prompt, type

                    MD WSOS2_1

2. Extract the .EXE files into their corresponding
subdirectories using the -d option. WSOS21.EXE into WSOS2_1,
     WSOS22.EXE into WSOS2_2, and WSOS2D.EXE into WSDRV_1.

Example: At the command line, type

                    WSOS21 -d C:\WSOS2_1

3. Format 3 3.5" high density double-sided diskettes.

4. Label each diskette with the following names: WSOS2_1,
     WSOS2_2, and WSDRV_1.

Example: At the command line, type

                    Label A: WSOS2_1

5. Insert diskette labelled WSOS2_1 into drive A:.

6. Change directory to WSOS2_1 on your hard disk.

7. Type the following at the command line:

                    XCOPY *.* /S /E /V A:

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the diskettes labelled WSOS2_2 and
     WSDRV_1.
Ensure that the files are copied from the correct directory to
     the corresponding labelled diskettes.

9. After creating the 3 diskettes, see the "Instructions for
installing the Requester from diskettes" later in this
     document.

Method 3: Extract files to diskette & install from diskette

Instructions for creating diskettes directly from the .EXE files

1. Format 3 3.5" high density double-sided diskettes.

2. Label each diskette with the following names: WSOS2_1,
     WSOS2_2, and WSDRV_1.

Example: At the command line, type

                    Label A: WSOS2_1

3. Extract WSOS21.EXE, WSOS22.EXE, and WSOS2D.EXE to their
corresponding diskettes by executing the files with the -d
option. The -d option will create the required subdirectory
structure and will allow the INSTALL program to run correctly.

Example: At the command line, type

                    WSOS21 -d A:

4. After creating the 3 diskettes, see the "Instructions for
installing the Requester from diskettes" later in this
     document.

Instructions for installing the Requester from diskettes:

1. Open an OS/2 full screen or OS/2 window session and insert the
WSOS2_1 diskette into drive A:. At the command line, type the
     following:
                    A:INSTALL

The NetWare Workstation for OS/2 install program appears.

2. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the install.
