Contents of PROM:
1] Howto.txt: This manual

2] Prom.exe : This is provided so that instead remembering what command to
issue, you just type PROM and it will show you complete reference. Try it.

3] Scr.exe : This program is a variation of DOS's TYPE filename|MORE command.
Now, instead of the long command (or without the need to start the editor)
   you simply type at prompt:
                             SCR filename
where filename is complete name (with extension)
and you can include paths as well.

But that's not all. You can even specify how many lines you want displayed
at each page. For example, to view a file named LETTER.DOC in your c:\TEMP
directory and to display 10 lines at a time, type:
                             SCR c:\temp\letter.doc 10

If you do not include any number at end, 20 lines per page will be shown.

For online help, just type: SCR ?
By the way, SCR name is chosen for the word SCReen.

4] Get.com : Very fast filesearch utility. At prompt type: GET filename
and it will show you all files matching the criteria. You can include
wildcards in every way DOS allows!
If you want to search the entire Hard Disk, just goto C:\ (root dir) and
run GET from there. If you want to search for files in a particular dir,
go to that directory and run GET program.

That's not all. Instead of displaying the search result on screen, you can
save the results in a text file (so you can decide at your pace what to do
with them) with an optional L parameter.
To use this optional feature, type: GET filename L REPORT
That creates a text file named REPORT (you can name it any legal name)
and places it in your current directory.

For online help, just type: GET ?

Works great even on large compressed drives (compressed w/ dblspace).

5] Rendir.exe: Now you can rename any existing directory without the help of
a file manager or without having Network file facility.
   Simply type:
                            Rendir olddirname newdirname
You can include paths too. Note that olddirname and newdirname must have
   same path.

For online help, just type: RENDIR ?

6] Diskav.exe: There are times when you need to see how much hard disk is
being used up quickly--in Megabytes AND in kbytes. Also, you should know
what Percentage of your disk is dynamically used up. And of course the
available space in Megabytes AND in kbytes. All this is displayed on the
center of screen for your ease and color coded to improve readability.

7] Sdir.exe : You know DOS does not sort your directories in your way when
you issue DIR command. To get you around that, you can use SDIR program
which lets you easily sort directories and/or files in numerous options
   including alphabetical, chronological and more.
Type SDIR ? for more help.
