OCEANVIEW
=====================================================================
A Fictional Design by David Wu

A few credits are in order:
Mark Willett, who provided various objects (the flowers, I think).
Ted Maiden, whose Kiawah Ocean Course background was stolen by yours
truly and slightly modified, as well as the bench and little
bush (or whatever) from the same course.
Gene Rodriguez, who provided the windblown trees (all of them).
John Kunyik, whose JNSEDT proved quite useful while I was searching
        for a real sand color.
The flag is mine, thank you very much.
The rest of the trees are from the original JNSE package.

This was an interesting first effort, in the sense it took about
10 times longer than I expected. Still, it was a great deal of fun and I
enjoyed it very much, to a point. Couldn't wait to see the final design,
so some of it, frankly, was rushed.
As far as the design and layout are concerned, I did my best to
come up with an original design. Not being a golfer, the fine nuances are
generally lost. Oceanview would probably never be a real golf course. The
lack of objects was intentional; the course is ideally a sparse and
windblown one, which bothered me at first, but now I'm used to it. I tried
to increase object density as I moved inland, but it's very erratic. The
gradient backgound sky coloration also bothered me at first, but it was the
best I could do without any advanced design tools (or knowledge).
The course is quite easy; I scored 74 (Pro tees) the first time out.
Whether this is good or bad is up to you; I personally don't like impossible
courses and so designed Oceanview to be somewhat easy and to play to par on
most every hole (probably a relic of playing too much Links386).
Finally, a thank you to Mark Willett, whose articles in CGW helped
convinced me to acquire this fine piece of software, and who provided
some nifty design tips.

I'm open to criticism, praise (?), etc. here.....
