The MIDILink Network is for MIDI or MUSIC related bulletin board systems.
We are professional musicians, engineers, A/V specialists that enjoy helping
each other via the network. We presently span the entire U.S. and Austria,
Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Japan, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa and
the U.K.. MIDILink operates via Kip Compton's PCRelay based software for
message transfer, and QMAIL4 for those who prefer to use .QWK packets for
mail transfer with "NetStatus". 99% of MIDILink boards are PCBoard type sys-
tems, however there are several other types of systems integrated in the net.

This is not a solicitation for anyone to call that has a BBS and wants to be
a part of the MIDILink Network. We are presently looking for representation
in several areas, but prerequisites would include having a strong MIDI, Music,
Recording or MultiMedia following already on your system and that you do NOT
charge for message access to your system. If you feel you have a system that
would fit in with MIDILink, please call the main HUB, Sound Management BBS
@ 708-949-6434 (n1) and leave a (C)omment to the sysop. There is NO CHARGE
to pick up the MIDILink Net, only your call to the main HUB in Chicago for
mail on a regular basis. (Average LD costs when calling in for mail on a
daily basis average $20 per month.)

MIDILink is more than just a net mail service. MIDILink offers manufacturer
support online from various MIDI, Recording and MultiMedia hardware and soft-
ware manufacturers.
