ARTISOFT EXPANDS ITS TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE

New Telephone Line Provides Priority Technical Support For Endusers
& Resellers

(TUCSON, AZ -- July 26, 1993) -- Artisoft, Inc.
announced today that it has implemented a new telephone service that
provides priority technical support. Using this new phone line,
900/555-TECH (555-8324), for a cost of $2.50 per minute, Artisoft
endusers and resellers in the domestic United States can receive a
quicker response to their request for technical assistance on a
designated group of Artisoft(R) products. This line is in addition to
Artisoft's current free, unlimited telephone technical support line
(602/670-7000), and its on-line BBS (602/884-8648), facsimile
(602/884-8665), CompuServe (GO ARTISOFT) and AppleLink(R)
(ARTISOFT.TS) services to resellers and endusers.

Core Artisoft networking products that will be
serviced by this new priority line include the LANtastic(R) Local
Area Network (DOS and Windows(TM)), the LANtastic/AI(TM) network, the
Central Station(TM) connectivity processor, the Articom(TM) modem-
sharing software and the LANtastic Z(TM) network. A dedicated group
of technical support representatives will be servicing this new
priority line between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mountain
Standard Time.

Technical support for Artisoft's Connectivity Series
and other networking products such as the LANtastic for TCP/IP
connectivity software, the LANtastic for Macintosh(R) connectivity
system, the LANtastic for NetWare(R) software and the ArtiScribe(TM)
NetMedia(R) document and dictation system will continue to be
supported -- as will all Artisoft products -- through the current
free, unlimited technical support line.

"In keeping with Artisoft's commitment to supporting
all users, we have provided this priority line that will give prompt
technical assistance during time-critical situations," commented Dave
Hallmen, Artisoft's Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "Now
customers can choose between using this new priority line or
receiving free, unlimited technical support with our main line --
either way they have easy access to the quality support they need."

In an ongoing effort to broaden the accessibility of
its technical support, Artisoft has recently joined the AppleLink
service. Last year, Artisoft enhanced its technical support system by
adding a state-of-the-art automatic call distribution system to
disperse calls quickly to specific product support teams that service
specialized areas, improving its on-line BBS and adding a dedicated
forum to the CompuServe service. Also in 1992, Artisoft introduced
the LANual(TM) Information Service, a subscription program that is
updated quarterly and allows resellers and endusers to instantly
retrieve technical information about Artisoft products.

Artisoft develops and manufactures a full line of
innovative, cost-effective network communication solutions including
the award-winning LANtastic Local Area Network. Recognized as the
leader in peer-to-peer networking for DOS and Windows environments,
the LANtastic network also offers multiplatform connectivity
solutions for NetWare, TCP/IP and Macintosh systems. It allows up to
500 users on one network to connect and share information and
peripheral devices such as printers, hard drives and CD-ROMs.
Artisoft maintains nine international offices and distributes the
LANtastic network and its other connectivity products in over 70
countries worldwide.
