

    Sew and Wrap Seat Cushions

Materials:

Tape measure
fabric
scrissors
pins
thread
sewing machine
thin ribbon or binding tape (optional)

Step 1:
To determine length of wrapper (excluding front
panel), measure across and around cushion from side to
side and add 1 inch; to determine width, measure across
from front to back and add 1 inch; for the front panel
(back stays open, for easy slip-on), measure width and
thickness and add 1 inch.

Step 2:
Cut fabric for wrappers; cut fabric for panels;
press under and stitch hem along back side of wrap.

Step 3:
With right sides together, stitch 1/2-inch center-
bottom seam; press open.

Step 4:
Pin and stitch panel to front of wrapper, right
sides facing; sew; remove pins; turn right side out; put
wrapper on cushion.

Step 5: (Optional accent)
Cut ribbons long enough that they tie across front panel of
wrapper; position and slip-stitch onto top and bottom
edges of front panel; tie.
