Stylish Curtain Rod Made from Iron Tubing

Materials: Carpenter's level; iron plumbing pipe (for the drapery rod);
2 double threaded pipes; 2 threaded eyes; 2 mounting bases; wood screws
or toggle bolts; end caps.

Step 1:
Determine the length of the pipe that will be used as the rod; have it
cut and threaded at each end to accept end caps. Determine the length of
double threaded pipe needed for each extension. One end screws into the
eye that the rod pipe slips through, and the other end screws into the
mounting base, which is attached to a joist (ceiling beam). Make sure
the base, eye and pipe all fit together.

Step 2:
Find the ceiling joists and attach a mounting base to the ceiling as
close to each end of the windows as possible; use wood screws. If beams
are not available in the desired postions, use toggle bolts instead of
screws.

Step 3:
Thread an extension into one mounting base pipe and then screw the eye into
the other end of the pipe. Repeat at other side.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Repeat.~~her
Step 4:
Push the pipe through one eye and slip all of the curtain hooks onto the
pipe. Push the pipe through the eye at the other support end. Screw end
caps onto both ends.

Done!
