WGA_NET RULES
=============
Messages in this conference shall be subject to any rules and 
regulations which may, from time to time, be officially recognized by 
the WGA_Net.  The ultimate interpreter of WGA_Net Rules is the 
WGA-EUR and/or WGA-NA Coordinator; or such lower level Coordinator as 
the WGA_Net Coordinator shall, from time to time, specify.

(PLEASE NOTE: Any message which is lawful, friendly, non-commercial and 
related to genealogy, is not likely to fall afoul of any WGA_Net rule.


NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL MESSAGES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is an international conference in the sense that it is open to 
anyone, anywhere in the world.  However the subject matter of messages 
within the WGA-NA conference shall, at all times relate to 
genealogical, heraldic and family historical matters concerned with 
the peoples of North America. Similarly, the subject matter of 
messages entered in WGA-EUR shall at all times relate to genealogical, 
heraldic and family historical matters concerned with the peoples of 
Europe.


MAKING CONTACT WITH OTHERS RESEARCHING THE SAME FAMILY
======================================================
There are a number of ways to contact others who are researching the 
same family surname:
       1. Enter a message on WGA-NA and/or WGA-EUR. The message should 
be addressed to ALL, with a subject of the surname of interest IN ALL 
CAPITALS. The contents of the message should be *consise* while 
presenting just enough information to specifically identify whom you 
are researching.
       2. Submit a query to the WGW data base via the WGW echo. To do 
this you should obtain the file WGW41.ZIP and follow the instructions 
therein.
       3. Submit a Tiny Tafel on the WGA-* echo. For this you need 
the file TTGEN##.ZIP and follow the instructions therein.


COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING
======================
There is to be NO commercial advertising in this conference.  This 
shall not be construed to exclude fair comment by users of any 
products which might be of assistance to genealogists, heraldic 
researchers or family historians.


RULES ABOUT RULES

The only forum for adjudicating disputes about the Conference Rules
shall be the current WGA-* Moderator(s) and/or the Coordinator of 
WGA-*.
