    Have you browsed a good book lately? Insert either Library of the
    Future, First or Second Edition, and see thousands of books.

    Library of the Future, First Edition, contains over 1150 works.
    Second Edition contains over 2000 works. Both CD-ROMs include DOS
    and Windows version on the same CD.

    Installation can be done from DOS or Windows and requires less than
    1MB of hard disk space.

    Once started, the main menu gives you several options. You can
    search by title, author, words, strategy or illustration.

    Clicking on Titles, in the 2nd Edition, gives you 971 titles to
    choose from. Author gives you 111 options to choose from.

    Word Search can be normal, exact phrase, several words apart or even
    screens apart.

    Strategy allows you to choose:
        * Category -- Poetry, Science, Literature, etc.
        * Region -- Asia, Europe, Africa, North America.
        * Ages -- Roman Empire, Dark Ages, Ottoman Empire, Renaissance,
        etc.
        * Era -- Era 1 (2500 BC-601 BC), Era 6  (1700-1869 AD), etc.
        * Country -- Arabia, Carthage, England, France, Italy, USA, etc.

    Searching takes only seconds. You can search by one or more
    categories at once. When reading a book, you can have the program
    auto-scroll the screen, where you can set the scroll rate. In
    addition you can click on description to get a short bio of author,
    and description of work. If there is an illustration you will also
    have this option. Or, you can select the illustration from the main
    menu, and then go to the story.

    Other features:
        * Bookmark and Notepad features.
        * Split-screen feature (in DOS) allows you to read and compare
    two works side by side. In Windows you can read up to eight works at
    a time.
        * Print and number of screens or entire work.
        * Save text in ASCII format to file.
        * Easy to follow on-screen help.
        * Search by Word, Subject, Phrase and Date.
        * Search by Century, Era, Country and Category.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this CD. I am an avid reader, and this CD has
    more books than I could ever read.
