Follow these steps to install and use the G5 macro
needed to run Grammatik from inside WordPerfect
for Windows.

How to install the macro files in the proper
directories:

1. Copy the files G5-DOC.WCM, G5-SEL.WCM, and
GMK2MENU.WCM from the Grammatik directory to the
WordPerfect for Windows macros directory (usually
called C:\WPWIN\MACROS\). This is where
WordPerfect for Windows expects to find all
macros, and it will be easier to run the macro or
add it to the Button Bar if it is in this
directory. If you don't know which directory the
macros are in, go to the File menu, choose
Preferences then choose Location of Files. The
Location of Files dialog box will show the
location of the macros. Note the location and
place the above files in that directory.

How to add the Macros to the Macro Menu:

1. Go to the Macro menu.
2. Choose Play...
3. Select the macro file GMK2MENU.WCM.
4. The items Grammatik - Selected Text and
Grammatik - Entire Document are now added to the
macro menu.

How to add the Macro to a Button Bar:

1. Go to the View menu.
2. Choose Button Bar Setup, then choose Edit.
3. The Edit Button Bar dialog box will appear.
4. Click on the button labeled Assign Macro to
Button....
5. The Assign Macro to Button dialog box opens.
6. Select the file G5-SEL.WCM in the list box and
click the Assign button.
7. In the Edit Button Bar dialog box, click the OK
button.
8. There will be a macro button labeled G5-sel in
the current Button Bar.

Use this procedure to add G5-DOC.WCM to the
Button Bar also.

How to use the G5 Macros:

Now that the Grammatik macro is installed, follow
these steps to start Grammatik from inside
WordPerfect for Windows:

Checking an entire document:

  1. Start WordPerfect for Windows and open the
document you want Grammatik to proofread.

  2. Click the G5-DOC button on the Button Bar or
pick Grammatik - Entire Document from the Macro
menu.

  3. Grammatik's main window opens with your
WordPerfect for Windows document ready to
proofread. Click the Start Check button to begin
interactive proofreading.

  4. Make the corrections to your document, then
save it at the end of the proofreading session.
Choose Exit from Grammatik's File menu.
WordPerfect for Windows will come back up, and re-
open your file for you.

Checking selected text:

  1. Start WordPerfect for Windows and open the
document you want Grammatik to proofread.

  2. Select the text that you want to check.

  3. Click the G5-SEL button on the Button Bar or
pick Grammatik - Selected Text from the macro
menu. Grammatik will then start, and will
automatically check the clipboard.

  4. When Grammatik's changes are saved, they are
saved back to the clipboard. The clipboard is
then pasted back into the document. If you
discard the changes, the clipboard will remain
unaltered, and the original text will be pasted
into the document.

Note: These macros will only work if the
environment variable GMKW5 is set in the
AUTOEXEC.BAT file (usually SET GMKW5=C:\GMKW\) and
if the path is set to your Grammatik Windows
directory (usually C:\GMKW).
