     Several problems in the original Microsoft QuickC for Windows 1.0 release 
     have been fixed. This document describes the fixes.

=====================< INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS >====================

     Copy the contents of the distribution disk to the directory
     where you installed QuickC for Windows (for instance, C:\QCWIN). From
     that directory, run this command:

       patch

     The patch may take some time to complete; please be patient.


=======================< WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED? >=======================

     The patch modifies the following components:

     QCWIN
     LINK

     Part 3 lists all the affected files. The following sections
     describe the fixes to each component.

     QCWIN (version 1.0a) Fixes
     -----------------------------

     - Windows 3.1 TrueType fonts are now used and displayed correctly
     in the QuickC for Windows source windows.

     - Conditions causing the following Windows 3.1 Debug Kernel 
     messages have been addressed:

       - wn QCWIN GDI: Palette not deleted: XXXX
       - wn QCWIN GDI: Font not deleted: XXXX
       - err QCWIN GLOBALFREE+15: Invalid global handle: 0x0000
       - err QCWIN GDI: GDI:Attempt to delete object owned by system
  

     LINK (version 5.14.03) Fixes
     -----------------------------

     - Conditions causing the following Windows 3.1 Debug Kernel 
     messages have been addressed:

       - wn Kernel: GlobalWire(1CB7 of WINOLDAP) (try GlobalLock)     
       - wn Kernel: LocalAlloc failed
       - err LINKW LOCALFREE+C: Invalid local handle: 0x0000
