The very short documentation says "BRIX is an arcade
and puzzle experience!" That's a pretty good description for
one of the best games I've seen in some time. Not only is
it an exciting arcade game, it's also one that makes you
think and plan ahead before you make any move.

To use an old cliche, BRIX is easy to play, but hard to
master. The object is to eliminate the different patterned
tiles by making them fall in place next to a matching one.
That sounds simple enough, but the hard part is to maneuver
your tiles to accomplish this. When you have an even number
of matching tiles, this isn't too difficult. But, if you
have an odd number, it can be tricky to get three of them to
line up. To make things worse, each level is timed. Your
points are dependent on how long it takes to complete each
        level.

BRIX I has 112 levels of play and 4 skill levels
ranging from EASIEST to HARDEST. The easier levels give you
more time to finish. This is especially important the first
few times you play. After you play this game for a while,
you can move up to the harder levels. The first couple of
levels are more or less primers to show you all the
obstacles and gives you a "feel" for the game. You will run
into elevators, quick sand, water, bricks, lasers, and
teleporters. You'll even find that the screen will flip on
you at times. It'll take a lot of strategy to get a good
        score.

BRIX has all you could want in a game. It has great
graphics and fluid movement. It even has a Sound Blaster
sound track. If you want, you can play head to head with an
opponent. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time, as you
won't want to stop once you start. This one will probably
get added to my "To Register" list!

Registration gets you BRIX II Deluxe with 112 new
levels, a level editor, and a level solver.
